“Blessings” – Transformation Collection. Available in many sizes /mediums.
- I woke up Saturday morning thinking “enough is enough”. It’s time to make a change …
- I’m choosing to tell you this because, well, that’s what I do. Plus, I look forward to writing to you again in 21 days to tell you how it went.
- You’re now officially my Accountability Buddy.
- So what’s this habit I’m ready to let go of?
- No movies for 21 Days. Yikes! Yes! OMG!
- For you to understand what a big deal this is, let me explain.
- I usually get up between 4-5 am every day. My workday starts soon after that.
- I paint, write, attend professional development training or networking events, work on marketing & finances, do intuitive readings, do trade shows, set up exhibitions, etc.
- I’m far from lazy. Just want to make that clear 🙂
- By late afternoon though, I’m wiped. My energy is low.
- Since I don’t have a man, kids, or even a pet in my life, my time is mine.
- Sometimes, I take a dance break on my mini-trampoline or go for a walk. Occasionally, I’ll see friends… as long as it’s not too late. But being quite the introvert, I’m simply not as social as most.
- These days, I’m in bed anywhere between 4-7 pm with my laptop and Netflix watching 1, 2 or 3 movies before falling asleep.
- Here I am teaching about creating a Life by Design, and I’ve slipped into an over-dependency on movies. No worries and no regrets. It’s simply time for a course-correction.
- I’m so grateful for all the movies I’ve had the opportunity to watch. I’ve not only been entertained, but inspired and educated. Sometimes though, I’ve also been disturbed … all depends on what movie I chose to watch.
- It’s not like I’m giving up movies for good… I’m just open to more variety in my life.
- So what am I going to do with my time?
- I have no idea yet. That’s the beauty of it.
- The Universe abhors a vacuum. The same principle applies whether you de-clutter your house, your schedule, or your mental space.
- Once you ask, the Universe will fill that space with whatever is in your Highest Good.
- So I’m asking. “Dear God and Guiding Spirits, Angels of Light and Love, guide me on my path to my Highest Good.”
- I’ve long heard it takes 21 days to either break a habit or create a new one. So that’s my commitment to myself. 21-Days movie-free! You’re the witness.
- What about you? Would you like to join this energy and break or make a habits in 21 days?
- Tell me which one below and come back here if you want to share your ups and downs along the journey.
- RESULTS PUBLISHED HERE.
You’re inspiring — I accept and welcome the 21 day focus. I’m in an online cooking course, have procrastinated doing the lessons as I have until Dec. 2 to complete it. I commit to finishing the course in 21 days. My 21 days will begin Thursday, Oct. 29.
Best wishes and bountiful energy to you, and all the others who embrace this offer.
Oh goody atllasta! Welcome. I can imagine the fruit of your efforts.. and veggies, grains, spices, sauces, etc. Hmmm… I’m hungry! May it be a fulfilling 21 Days!
Kudos to the movie-breaking process, Dominique! Lily was saying how she can’t wait until it’s winter to “watch movies”. Something to be said for cozying up by the fire on a cold winter night to a movie..and popcorn! However, I told her it wouldn’t be all the time and we plan to keep swimming as a family and maybe a dance class for her to balance it all out. Movies are a habit, an easy, comfortable habit.
I’d like to say I’ll declutter my office and how about using the 21 days to do that but that’s not realistic for me, so I’ll be generous and give myself the winter to do it! Like you said the Universe Abhors a vacuum and the new will come into replace it- it’s already happening from the little I’ve cleared already.
I’ll keep following your progress and be inspired by that…Baby steps:)
Love, Janis:)
I’ll be done my 21 days before winter – yay! But I like your plan with little Lily… I too will have it much more balanced by then. As a mother, you have your hands full and I love that you’re being loving to yourself. That in itself is a great 21-day habit maker. Loving yourself no matter what stage your de-cluttering is at. I support you in all of that soul sister!
Hello Dominique!
Thank you for the motivation- I receive your challenge and as I have not been dedicated to my training program….I will now for the next 21 days to form the habit of doing my daily program- some days the work outs are 75 minutes and others 20 minutes- I know I can do it as I have done it before …I know I will feel better getting into the habit rather than always finding other things to do as I know there will always be other things to do!!!
Talk soon!
Cheers,
Jen
That’s great Jen! I support you all the way. Yesterday, I ended up doing yoga in the evening, something I never do. After a full day in the studio, my back was soooo grateful I did. Imagine how you’ll feel. How motivating for me too. Thanks.
Dear Dominique,
I think never too late I would like to join in you. I decided in summer that I will do my exercise 20 minutes a day since September 1. But I didn”t started, my body misses it. BUT today I will with you!!
I started this kind of 21 days program blog here in Hungary too (last one was before Easter called just 21 days http://csak21nap.blogspot.hu/2015/03/day-0-eletmod-edd-magad-sovanyra.html )
but people are too busy or lazy here to do it as I am too. Usually I saw them reading my posts but never comment any and if we were speaking on the phone they said it is great. So thanks for started yours and I will make mine too.
Thanks big love from Hungary
Ildy
Hello Ildy! So glad this spoke to you in Hungary. I was there for a few days in 1995 when I was teaching in the Czech Republic.
I checkout out your blog, and although I can’t read Hungarian, those pictures are worth a thousand words. I wish you the best in your 21-day make a new exercise habit program. It’s never too late to start. Let us know here or on my November 17th post how it’s going.
Just knowing I’ll be blogging about it at the end has kept me on track and creative. It’s been 9 days for me and all is well indeed 🙂
