Has Spirit got an amazing gift for us both!
There has been no better time for you to bring one of my paintings into your life, which will also help me move to Ottawa, where I’ve been Guided to live with my Papa.
Inspired change is a beautiful thing—an act of trust, a flow of energy, a step into the unknown.
After 14 years in Newfoundland and a decade as a full-time artist and lightworker, I’m embracing this moment of transition with an open heart.
All 56 of my paintings need new homes! Each one holds a story, a vibration, a co-creation with Spirit—and now it’s time for them to continue their journey where they can continue to inspire.
There are no set prices and no auction bids. I’m taking offers instead. Then, I’ll be tuning in with Spirit to see who is meant to have what.
For me, this isn’t devaluing the time, energy or cost of materials that went into my art—it’s about sharing the love and vision that has flowed through me, knowing that each piece will land where it’s meant to be.
I’ve already received such a blessing from this work. As Yogananda, author of “Autobiography of a Yogi” said: “The instrument is blessed by what flows through it.”
Know, however, that your support at this time will help me gather the professional nest eggs I need for my next chapter—one filled with purpose, companionship, and new beginnings with my 92-year-old father. (see previous post)
This way of letting go of my art was also Guided, and so I trust the process.
So check out my online shop, feel into your heart what a loving offer would be, and reach out. Happy Valentines!
My goal is to fly to Ottawa this Spring with my suitcases and bicycle-in-a-box. Nothing else. After all, part of what I’m going to be doing at my father’s is helping him de-clutter the house for eventual sale, so bringing lots of stuff or paying for storage just doesn’t feel right.
There’s a deep sense of freedom in letting go.
Releasing these paintings means releasing the need to store, manage, or ship them—lightening my load as I step forward. It’s a liberating act, one that aligns perfectly with the spiritual path of trust and surrender.
I also trust that my collectors and those who have invested in my work will recognize this as an expansion, not a loss—an opportunity to deepen their connection to my art and its journey. May this Moving Sale enrich, rather than diminish, the energy we’ve already shared.
So, I invite you to let your heart and soul choose a painting, to bring a piece of this journey into your own space.
Make me an offer, and together, we’ll honour the cycles of creation, movement, and renewal.
Are You Uncomfortable Making an Offer?
I know that for many, making an offer can feel uncomfortable. But this is a heart-centered exchange, not a business transaction.
I want my art to be with those who feel called to it.
So I encourage you to go within—feel what a fair and loving offer looks like for you.
Some may offer my asking price or even more as a way to support this transition, while others will offer what they can afford. All offers welcome. There is no wrong answer.
Spirit will guide each piece to its rightful place.
It’s not about numbers; it’s about energy, alignment, and trust.
And if offering a payment plan makes it easier to follow through on your guided offer, I’m open to those as well.
This is not a traditional sale—it’s an intuitive exchange.
I encourage you to tune into your heart and make an offer that feels right, one that honours both the value of the art and what feels aligned for you.
There’s a flow to life, a natural rhythm to giving and receiving, and I invite you to step into that flow with me.
If a painting is calling to you, listen.
If you feel drawn to support my transition while welcoming a piece of my soul into your space, trust that feeling.
Think of this as a heart-led exchange, not a negotiation. Your offer is a reflection of what feels right for you.
First, take a look at my Original Painting pages in my online shop here. (prints-on-demand from NL Canvas are not included and will continue to be available after I move.)
Then ask your heart / Team of Divine Helpers what a win-win offer would be. Sit with it. Meditate on it. Don’t stress out about it.
Next, contact me with the name of the painting(s) you’d like and your offer(s). This is an opportunity to practice what I’ve been teaching here for years—taking inspired action and trusting your intuition.
What feels like a loving offer? One that is generous to me as the artist, but also honours your own needs?
Note that shipping, taxes for Canadians, and duties for those outside of Canada are extra.
I’ll take time in early March to sit with the offers that have come in so far, tuning into Spirit to guide me in choosing where each piece belongs. Then I’ll be in touch with my first round of selections.
Missed the first round? No worries—I’ll continue accepting offers on unsold pieces until I leave Newfoundland! If the painting is still in my online shop, that means it hasn’t found a home yet.
56 paintings have to have found homes by the time I move – that date in the spring is yet to be determined.
However this unfolds, I know it will be in perfect harmony. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
Yes, I’m Also Letting Go of the Universal Law Mandala Collection

I confess, I hesitated about letting go of my twelve 30″ x 30″ Universal Law mandalas + 36″ x 36″ summary piece.
But I confirmed it with my Team of Divine Helpers. It’s time for them to find a home too.
I will always have the digital images and energy of these mandalas to continue guiding my own life and the teachings that came out of this 1-year channeling project.
My hope is to find a home where they can all be displayed and shared together, either as a grid or in a row.
Are they meant to be with you or someone / somewhere you know? Make an offer! Spread the news!
They are already crated and ready for shipping as I toured with them in Newfoundland and New Brunswick.
The collection as a whole was marked at $111,111. Like with all my other paintings, I’m open to whatever Spirit has planned for these.
I will hold off selling them individually until I can see if I can find a home for the whole collection.
But feel free to include offers for individual pieces anytime.
I’ll be in touch again if I decide to open up to individual sales. Someone has already expressed interest in a few.
Your Turn – Make Me an Offer. Help Me Move
OK – I’m following the guidance I received in meditation, which I later confirmed during a walk in nature and again with my pendulum.
Now it’s your turn.
Enjoy browsing my original energy-infused art, feel your way to an offer that’s loving to both yourself and me, and reach out.
Have fun with this! I am.
I trust that each piece will land exactly where it’s meant to, in its perfect timing. Thank you for being part of this flow with me!
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to help spread the word.
Share this with anyone who might be moved by this offering—whether they’re looking for a special piece of art or simply want to support this beautiful transition.
Every share, comment, and conversation helps these paintings find their perfect homes. Thank you!
With Love & Light as this journey unfolds,
Dominique
Sheila’s Brush & Beyond: How My Art Can Be Licensed
/in PaintingsAs I board my flight to Ottawa today, beginning a new chapter as a companion and helper for my 92-year-old father, my artistic focus is shifting.
While I take a hiatus from painting to adjust to this transition, I’m turning my attention to art licensing.
What is Art Licensing?
In simple terms, art licensing allows businesses, musicians, publishers, and other creators to legally use an artist’s work for their own projects in exchange for a fee.
This could mean album covers, book illustrations, web images, presentation slides, merchandise, or even branding elements.
Licensing enables artwork to reach wider audiences while supporting the artist.
Each agreement is unique, and pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis.
A Perfect Example – Willowgreen Album Cover
A wonderful example is the Celtic music group Willowgreen, who discovered my painting Sheila’s Brush through a simple Google search.
They knew their album needed that image, and they reached out to secure the rights to use it as their cover.
Now, their album Sheila’s Brush is available worldwide, featuring my painting front and center.
It’s a perfect tribute to my Irish roots and my time in Newfoundland, where the legend of Sheila’s Brush—a late-season snowstorm—lives on in folklore.
Seeing my art paired with Celtic music feels like a beautiful synchronicity.
You can listen to the album here: 🎵 Sheila’s Brush on YouTube
🎵 Order a CD or digital download
Why License My Art?
Are you a musician looking for the perfect album cover? A writer needing an evocative book or blog post illustration? A business seeking unique artwork for branding or merchandising?
Or maybe you know someone who is?
Licensing allows you to use my existing works in a way that aligns with your vision while also supporting my journey as an artist.
Browse My Available Work
While all of my original paintings have found new homes, you can view an archive of all my sold works by clicking here.
If you see something that speaks to you, let’s talk about licensing options!
Note: If you’re simply looking for a print for your wall, remember that you can order prints on canvas or paper of many of my paintings via my print-on-demand shop here.
How Licensing Works
Once a licensing agreement is in place, I provide a high-resolution digital file of the artwork in the appropriate size for your design team to work with.
Please note that while I supply the artwork, I do not handle graphic design. This ensures that you have full creative freedom to integrate the image into your project as needed.
Respecting Art & Copyright – A Gentle Reminder
Art is meant to be shared and enjoyed, and I love that my work resonates with so many.
That said, many people don’t realize that using an artist’s work—whether in blogs, on social media (unless shared directly from the source), as digital wallpaper, or by printing a copy for personal use—without permission is a copyright violation.
Artists make a living through their creations, and while I often give permission freely for personal use, I deeply appreciate being asked. A quick message and proper credit with a link helps honour the work that goes into each piece.
If you’d like to support my art, there’s also a donation button in my website’s footer—another lovely way to give back.
Thank you for valuing and supporting all artists’ creative process!
How to Get in Touch
Each licensing agreement is tailored to the project’s needs and reach, so if you’re interested, let’s connect! Pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on usage.
📩 Contact me for details
Thank you for your continued support as I step into this new chapter.
Whether it’s sharing this opportunity with someone who might be interested, licensing a piece yourself, or simply cheering me on, I appreciate you being part of my journey.
With gratitude,
Dominique
A New Dawn: Embracing the Mystery of What’s to Come
/in InspirationThe sun bursts over the ocean, igniting the sky in vivid golds, fiery oranges, and deep reds. It’s not a gentle awakening but a bold arrival, undeniable and full of energy.
This is not a quiet shift but a Spirit-led turning point, unmistakable in its Call.
On April 15th, I’ll be leaving Newfoundland, the place that’s held me for 14 years, to move to Ottawa and step into my role as my father’s helper and companion.
This next chapter is one of devotion, of presence, of stepping into the unknown with an open heart. I do not yet know what it will bring, only that it is Spirit-led, and I trust in the unfolding.
For now, there is a pause in business as usual.
Most of my paintings have found their homes, with only my mandalas still waiting for their perfect place.
While my intuitive art and services are uncertain in this next season, prints of my work remain available, and my website holds a wealth of free inspiration and resources for those who seek it. Feel free to explore and receive.
This moment is also one of deep gratitude.
For 14 years or longer, you have journeyed with me—through my website, blog, and social media. You have witnessed my unfolding, my expressions of love, my surrender to Spirit.
Perhaps we first connected through a live event, a workshop, a podcast, an exhibition, a retreat, or a moment of shared presence in a sacred space.
However our paths intertwined, I know that it was meant to be, and I am deeply grateful for the blessing of walking even a part of this journey together.
Keep your eyes open for future communications, as I trust that Spirit will continue to guide our connection in the perfect way and time.
I do not know what my sharing will look like moving forward.
Blog posts / e-letters may slow, or they may follow a new rhythm entirely—one of deep listening and spontaneous flow.
I trust that inspiration will continue to call me to expression, and I hope that, in whatever form it takes, it continues to nourish your heart as well.
If ever you feel called to reach out, please do. This space of connection remains, as does my love of beauty and the beauty of love.
And so, as the sun rises over the ocean, as its light spills over the horizon one last time before I turn inland, I offer a prayer of gratitude and blessing to you, dear reader:
May you always walk in the light of love.
May each day greet you with new wonder, new possibility, new grace.
May you trust in your own unfolding, knowing that every sunrise brings with it a quiet promise
—of hope, of healing, of beauty, of infinite love.
Goodbye, Newfoundland. Hello, Ottawa. And to all of you—let’s see what unfolds.
Love,
Dominique

Still Seeking Their Homes
Originally listed for $3700
Supersoul (say it with a musical tone—like Superman!) is an intuitive visionary energy painting that celebrates the roots that shape us, both in this lifetime and beyond.
Each of us is a unique, divine expression of the Universe, shaped by blessings and challenges that become our superpowers. We are all on a hero’s journey, transforming through life’s experiences and stepping more fully into our true selves. This painting honors that journey—mine, yours, and the unfolding mystery ahead.

Twin Flames – #2 in the Soul Mate Series
Originally listed for $1247
This painting has drawn admiration from around the world over the years, yet it has not found its destined keeper. Could it be you?
Twin Flames embodies the sacred reunion of two halves of the same soul. The sun and moon merge into a Vesica Pisces, the sacred geometry of Divine Oneness. This symbolizes the connection between Heaven and Earth—between our souls, our Higher Selves, and Source.
At the heart of this union, mica (an energy of love & compassion) surrounds a mirror—a reflection of the soul and the deep truths revealed through relationship. It is a reminder that love, in all its forms, is a powerful mirror for self-discovery and growth.
See close up photos here.
The Universal Law Mandala Collection
I created this transformative collection over ten months in 2015, guided by Spirit to explore the 12 Universal Laws that govern our lives. Each of the twelve 30″x30″ paintings represents one Universal Law, and the final 36″x36″ piece weaves them all together into a cohesive whole.
This collection has been featured in exhibitions across Atlantic Canada, including the 2018 Atlantic Visual Arts Festival, where I was the featured artist and godmother (see video top of page). These mandalas are portals into higher consciousness, teaching tools that help us align with the Divine Energy flowing through everything.
If you feel called to bring this collection into your life, or know a wellness/spiritual centre or organization that is, I am open to heartfelt offers of $10,000 or more (tax and shipping extra, though the paintings are already crated for transport).
Explore their meanings further:
An Idea – The St. John’s Mandala Guardians Circle
A sacred journey. A rotating portal of wisdom. A community of seekers.
The Mandala Guardians Circle is an opportunity to engage deeply with the Universal Law Mandala Collection—twelve visionary paintings, each a gateway to one of the Universal Laws, plus the unifying thirteenth piece.
By joining this circle, you become a Guardian of one of these mandalas for a month at a time, welcoming its energy into your space—whether that be a yoga studio, healing practice, wellness center, or home sanctuary.
How It Works
🌿 13 Guardians – Each member contributes between $1000 and $5000 (send your heartfelt offer) to collectively steward the collection.
🌿 Monthly Rotation – Each month, you receive a new mandala as part of a set rotation schedule, ensuring that all 13 pieces travel through the group in divine flow.
🌿 Teachings & Insights – Each mandala comes with a laminated teaching card to deepen your understanding of its spiritual lesson. Guardians may also choose to gather in small circles or as a full group to share experiences, insights, and shifts in energy.
🌿 A Commitment to Flow – If a Guardian moves from the St. John’s area, they pass their membership forward, ensuring the circle remains unbroken.
Spirit Will Decide—Will You Be One of the 13?
This collection may find a single home, or it may move through the hands and hearts of a dedicated circle. Spirit will decide.
If you feel called to be part of this sacred journey, send your heartfelt offer to [email protected] .
To make this possible, I need 13 committed Guardians. If this resonates with you, step forward. If you cannot participate but know someone who might, please spread the word.
The path is unfolding. Let’s see where this flow takes us.
Final Invitation
As I step forward into this new phase of my journey, I trust that the remaining paintings will find their perfect homes in divine timing.
If you feel drawn to SuperSoul, Twin Flames, or the Universal Law Mandala Collection, let’s connect at [email protected] .
Your offer doesn’t just bring art into your space—it welcomes the energy, lessons, and love embedded within each piece.
And of course, feel free to spread the word.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Dominique

A New Painting – Peace Rising – The Alchemy of Transformation
Peace Rising (12″ x 36″) was submitted to the provincial Arts & Letters Awards back in November. It’s my last painting created in Newfoundland. Though it didn’t take a prize, it is now free to go where it truly belongs.
Make me an offer. It’s regular price would have been $1,377.
Peace Rising is an invitation to transformation—a visual meditation on renewal, balance, and the infinite possibilities held in the present moment.
In Peace Rising, the sacred dance of transmutation and renewal unfolds in vibrant contrast.
From fire, a phoenix emerges, releasing a dove into the world—a symbol of peace rising from transformation.
The interplay of complementary blue and orange hues reflects the tension and harmony of life’s dualities: chaos and serenity, struggle and surrender, past and future.
The hourglass shape holds time as both vessel and witness, balancing masculine and feminine energies in sacred harmony. The upward and downward triangles weave a visual mantra of unity—each necessary, each feeding the other in an eternal rhythm.
At the heart of this transformation lies a sacred egg, cradled between the realms of fire and air—possibility formed by forces unseen. Is it stone, shaped by time, or glass, born of flame? It holds the mystery of both phoenix and dove—one forged in surrender to the flames, the other in the grace of flight. Smooth yet textured, polished yet raw, it is the paradox of creation itself.
Within its depths shimmer the echoes of endings and beginnings, yet it is also a reminder of the present moment—the infinite possibility held in the now, where all transformation takes root.
Peace Rising is not just an image—it is an invitation. What within you is ready to rise?

Because You Asked: What Wouldn’t Insult Me?
/in PaintingsAgain and again, I hear the same thing:
“I love your work, but I don’t want to insult you with my offer.”
I feel the care in these words, the hesitation, the desire to honour the value of my art. And I want you to know—your offer, if made from the heart, is never an insult. Never!
This entire process is about trust. For you and for me.
It’s about energy and alignment, about finding the right home for each piece. And sometimes, the painting that calls to you is just waiting for you to say yes. But if you don’t place a specific offer on a specific painting, you’ll miss out on any coming your way.
So, let’s clear this up. If you’re drawn to one of my larger paintings but have been holding back, wondering what’s “too low”—my head says I would be absolutely thrilled with offers starting at $500.
But that doesn’t mean you must offer $500 or more. Go with your heart. Every offer, big or small, is welcome.
Since many of you have asked, I’ll share a little perspective: If a painting was originally priced over $2000, it likely cost at least $300 in supplies alone. It would be wonderful to cover that, but ultimately, I trust this process fully.
Meditation and the pendulum will guide the final decisions, just as Spirit has guided this entire journey.
Here’s me being real: I’m hoping to place them all this week, as I’m ready for them to move on to their new homes.
I don’t want this to drag on for months—I simply want them to find their perfect place, where they can continue to inspire and bring joy.
This sale has become a full-time job, and I need to dedicate my energy to the rest of my move and other projects. I’m ready to shift my focus.
So please help me out, take a look at all 56 and make an offer.
Big Paintings Need Loving Homes, Too
I’ve noticed something: many of the smaller paintings have found interest, but the larger ones—the ones that hold so much energy and presence—are still waiting for their first offer.
And yet, these are the pieces that have the power to transform a space, to radiate their energy in a way that fills a room. They were created to be seen, to be felt, to be lived with.
If you’ve been drawn to one but hesitated, thinking it’s out of reach—please make an offer.
Spirit will guide, as always, but these paintings need homes just as much as the small ones. Every painting, no matter the size, carries its own vibration and purpose. Each one is ready to continue its journey. And if a payment plan of up to a year helps you make an offer that feels right to you, ask for it.
The Universal Law Mandalas
The Universal Law Mandalas—a collection of 13 paintings—are also waiting for an offer. See them here.
Even though they were originally priced at $111,111, I’d be thrilled with an offer of $10K or more if that’s what feels aligned. Like all my work, they are meant to go where they are most needed – before I move.
If you know somewhere suited, reach out to them to let them know. Thanks.
Time is Ticking
So whether a small piece is calling to you or a large one, trust that feeling. This is a heart-led exchange, and I want every painting to find its perfect home – hopefully this week!
Decisions will be made starting this Thursday afternoon. If a painting speaks to you, now is the time to listen.
Take a look at all 56 in my gallery here, and make an offer by email [email protected] with:
✅ Painting name
✅ Your heartfelt offer
✅ Full mailing address (especially if you need a shipping quote)
✅ Phone number
💰 HST (Canada), duties (international), & shipping extra.
Thank you for helping me transition into my next chapter! ❤️
Love & Light,
Dominique
One of those beautiful moments unfolded when Jessica Earle invited me onto her Raising Sage Spiritual Podcast to talk about my art, the sale, and the deeper journey of trust and letting go.
After our conversation, she felt called to send me an offer. Her words truly touched my heart:
“Since our conversation, I’ve experienced a renewed sense of faith in myself, my own journey, and the divine guidance that shapes my path. There’s something so powerful about the way you are purely and fully yourself without trying to be anything else. You embody a level of authenticity and grace that is incredibly inspiring, and your art is such a beautiful vessel for divine healing. You’ve reminded me of the power of trusting in the process and letting things unfold with love and intention. That reminder has had a profound impact on me.”
Our exchange was a beautiful reminder of the unseen ways art connects us. You can listen to our conversation on Spotify here, or on Apple Podcasts.
One Week Left: Spirit-Guided Matches in the Making
/in UncategorizedThe journey of finding the rightful homes for my unsold, energy-infused co-creations with Spirit is almost complete. At the end of next week, I will enter meditation, connect with Spirit, and use my pendulum to guide the placement of each piece.
This isn’t about the highest offer—it’s about alignment. Every painting carries energy, and its new home will be chosen through a Spirit-guided process, just as explained in my video above.
56 Paintings Seeking Their True Homes
In total, 56 paintings were looking for their perfect match. A few have already been sold outright from my site. Thank you.
As of this writing, the full Universal Law Mandala Collection(13 paintings) and a dozen more paintings are still waiting for their first offer. You can view all available pieces on my online gallery page here. Could one of them be calling you?
If you feel drawn to a piece, trust that nudge. Simply follow the instructions at the top of the gallery page on how to submit your offer via email. Taxes/duties and shipping are extra.
Daily Videos for a Closer Look
I’ve been sharing short daily videos in the Discussion section of my Facebook Event Page (here) and YouTube Channel’s Art Sales Playlist (here), offering a closer look at each painting, its meaning, and the energy it holds.
If you haven’t seen them yet, I invite you to explore these glimpses into the collection—like the one I’ve included in this post. These videos are also easy to share, so thank you for spreading the word.
Help Me Spread the Word
If you know someone who might be drawn to these works or who believes in the power of art as a spiritual connection, please share this with them. The more people who hear about this, the greater the chance each painting finds its true home.
Trust your intuition. If a piece speaks to you, reach out before it’s too late.
Waiting for Your Offers – The Search for Homes Continues
/in Events, PaintingsSpirit has a way of moving things along in perfect time.
I’ve opened the doors, I’ve put the call out, and now I wait with an open heart.
If you’ve been thinking about bringing one of my paintings into your home, this is your gentle nudge to take a look, feel your way, and make an offer.
This process has been more than just a sale—it’s been a deeply spiritual exchange. Each offer, each story, each connection has been a lesson in trust, love, and the mystery of how things unfold.
I’ve come to truly understand that when an offer comes from the heart, it can never be insulting. Spirit has shown me this over and over. Whether an offer was well below my supply cost or whether it was an unexpected full-price purchase moments later, every piece of this journey has deepened my trust in the unseen flow of divine timing and purpose.
This is about more than numbers. It’s about energy, connection, and what Spirit is teaching us both in the offering and in the receiving.
Don’t Be Shy – This Is a Heart-Led Exchange
I know that making an offer can sometimes feel a little intimidating. But this isn’t a business transaction in the traditional sense—it’s an invitation to connect, to trust the pull of your heart, and to engage in something deeper. So go ahead, take inspired action. Trust that what calls to you has a purpose for you – even if, in the end, it may find its way elsewhere.
Many have reached out saying, ‘I don’t want to insult you.’ And I’ll be honest—at times, my ego did feel uneasy.
But then I realized that was exactly the work: to recognize the ego’s response and let it go. My job is to embrace trust and surrender to the process, knowing that by letting go, I’m making space for something greater to unfold. This is the lesson—when I step out of the way, Spirit can work its magic.
This process has been a powerful teacher.
It’s been expansive for me, and I’ve heard from so many of you that it’s been expansive for you too—helping you connect to Spirit and your intuition in your own way, stretch your comfort zones, and embrace the gift of asking.
So let go of hesitation. Feel into what is right for you, even if it stretches you in a new direction—whether that means offering more than you thought you would or less than you assumed was “acceptable.” We are in this process together. What is Spirit teaching you in this moment?
If you’ve already browsed my collection and something lingers in your heart, maybe now is the time to reach out.
Sit with it. Feel into it. Then, when it feels right, make an offer that reflects both your love for the piece and what’s aligned for you.
I’ll be taking time in early March to tune in with Spirit and place these paintings in their rightful homes. If one (or more) are meant for you, I trust it will all align beautifully.
Why This Matters – A Win-Win for All
This isn’t just about selling art. It’s about releasing, trusting, and stepping into a new chapter with grace.
Each painting that finds its rightful home brings me closer to the peace I need to be fully present with my Papa in Ottawa. It allows me to make this transition with lightness, focus, and devotion to the path ahead.
And for you? It’s an opportunity to receive something infused with love, energy, and spirit—a painting that will continue to uplift, inspire, and connect you to something greater. Take a look in my online shop here. Which one speaks to you?
Together, we’re exploring and expressing our love of beauty and the beauty of love.
Share the Journey
I trust that every piece will land exactly where it’s meant to. And I’m so grateful for your role in making that happen.
So go ahead—take a look here in my online gallery, listen to your heart, and reach out.
I trust that Spirit will guide us both. Together, we will place these paintings where they are meant to be, with love, faith, and grace.
With love and trust,
Dominique
Make Me an Offer: Help Me Move – 56 paintings need new homes.
/in PaintingsThere has been no better time for you to bring one of my paintings into your life, which will also help me move to Ottawa, where I’ve been Guided to live with my Papa.
The Freedom to Take Wing
How It Works
Thank you!
With Love & Light as this journey unfolds,
Dominique
Year of the Snake – a Question of Identity
/in InspirationIt’s definitely a year for change, encouraging people to reflect on their paths.
How appropriate is that for this time on our planet?!
It also resonates with this chapter in my life. How about you?
Letting Go – Lessons from the Snake
I go much more in depth about the symbolism of the snake in my 2020 blog post about this painting, “Letting Go”.
Basically, its skin is too small to contain its growth, so the snake rubs its head against something hard to cut it open. Then it wriggles its way out by crawling through tight places, leaving its inside-out skin and parasites behind.
If done properly and gently, the moulting process is painless, leaving the snake with a healthy vibrant new skin.
Gently and properly…. If not, it causes discomfort and anxiety for the snake.
What a great lesson!
Reading my 2020 painting post again, my heart said “Yes!” to the words:
Thinking of what’s happening on the world stage, I truly hope people connect to love vs. fear and all the emotions that it can spark.
As human consciousness rises and the skins of old beliefs, patterns, and negative behaviours fall away, may humanity shine more vibrantly.
As we wriggle out of discomfort using tight spaces to our advantage, may we all embrace this time of renewal with greater adaptability and wisdom.
May our moulting process, as a species, lead to new growth, free of all that no longer serves us. So be it.
A Question of Identity
Who am I? Truly.
A few times after receiving Guidance to move in with my father in Ottawa, I stood along the Rideau River to just feel…
The capital of Canada is my hometown, yet I haven’t resonated with its energy for decades.
Don’t get me wrong, Ottawa is a beautiful city filled with opportunities, and I’m always grateful for so much when I’m there.
I just need to discover what my place is in this city energetically and in the present. And I’ll need to give my highly sensitive new skin time to adjust.
In Newfoundland, I can instantly connect to my roles as a spiritual teacher, artist, nature-walker, soul sister, etc.
But in Ottawa, I’m not sure yet what my identity will be beyond daughter and helper. Will I paint? Where? Will I look for part-time work? Will I continue to develop and deliver online offerings?
It’s a mystery. And that’s OK.
I might need to let go of much of what I’ve used to identify myself to myself and the world for a while. Non-attachment and transformation! Let’s see what it brings!
I’m willing to follow continued Guidance to let go of layers, skins, careers, hobbies, in-person friendships, roles, routines, and hopefully a few bad habits like Netflix in bed…lol. Whatever feels inspired!
So what’s left? The vibrant healthy new skin underneath will bring me back to simply being an individualized expression of the Divine (as we all are).
And that’s a great place to start. The rest will emerge or re-emerge in divine timing if I keep Listening.
There’s no need to concern myself about the details. I just need to pray that I’ll let go of what doesn’t serve me and keep / welcome all that does.
I surrender all my worries about my life and the world to God and my Team of Divine Helpers.
I know I’ll be inspired to act when and how I can make a difference.
I also have faith that Ottawa will support my growth – inwardly, and outwardly.
That’s what I learned in my first few weeks in Newfoundland, back in 2011, during a Peruvian shamanism retreat.
From a Peruvian shamanistic perspective, returning to one’s hometown is seen as reconnecting with the powerful, supportive energy of the land, including water, mountains, and ancestral spirits.
The land itself, often viewed as sacred, holds healing and grounding energy that can nurture and guide individuals. Mountains, or in my case the Gatineau Hills, are seen as protectors, while water symbolizes purification and connection.
Returning to familiar places can offer emotional healing, re-alignment with ancestral wisdom, and a deeper sense of belonging, as it restores balance and reconnects us to the energies that sustain us.
Thank you, Snake Energy, for reminding me that as I shed my old skins during this time of transition, I will do so with grace and patience, making space for the vibrant new life that awaits me.
What skins do you need to shed in order to glide forward into the sunlit path of new possibilities? May you move forward with ease and purpose dear one.
Remember. You are an individualized expression of the Divine. The details may change, but the essence remains.
