OK… this post is a lot about me since this was such an important process piece. But as we’re all part of the Divine Oneness, see if you can relate with the experience, messages and energy offered here.
This is huge! And I’m not just talking size. I’m talking process!
I created “The Journey: All the Way Home to My Self” as part of my personal wellness program.
I needed focused “me” time in the studio this spring to be, re-centre, and re-energize. So I put the Law of Attraction into action – follow your bliss and you’ll attract more of it!
What would that look like for you?
There are over 20 layers of paint and energy-work here, not to mention over 120 hours of meditative focusing, many of those spent dot-making. Bliss!
I’d had the 48″x48″ canvas as part of my studio stock for about 2 years, knowing it would eventually become a tree of life with a central circle. About a year ago, the 24″ x 48″ asked to be added to the design. But it needed more gestation time.
It wasn’t until I started working on my labyrinth series in April that I realized those 5 designs were all meant to be integrated into one.
“The Journey: All the Way Home to Myself”
48″ x 78″ (4′ x 6.5′)
Acrylics & chakra stones (red jasper (root), carnelian (sacral), yellow jade (solar plexus), green aventurine (heart), lapis lazuli (throat), amethyst (third eye) & clear quartz (crown) ) on gallery-wrapped canvas.
SOLD
Let me walk you through the creative process – allow the colours and meaning to balance your chakras as you read so that you too can journey all the way home to your Self.
Layer by layer, I worked the colour and words of each chakra onto the canvas. The result was a clearing and balancing of my own chakras.
Although you can’t see them anymore, those chakra enhancing energies still emanate from the painting, assisting the viewer’s personal process.

- Root or Base Chakra at the base of the spine (RED) : vitality, courage, self-confidence, self-awareness, security, strength of will, grounding.
- Sacral Chakra in the lower abdomen (ORANGE): happiness, confidence, resourcefulness, sociability, joy, creativity, independence.
- Solar Plexus Chakra below the ribs (YELLOW): wisdom, clarity, self-esteem, optimism, good humour, practicality
- Heart Chakra (GREEN): balance, unconditional love, self-love, self-control, compassion, generosity, harmony
- Throat Chakra (BLUE): knowledge, health, decisiveness, loyalty, calm, trustworthiness
- Brow or Third Eye Chakra in the centre of the forehead (INDIGO): intuition, mysticism, understanding, integrity, faithfulness, clear-sightedness
- Crown Chakra, at the top of the head: beauty, creativity, inspiration, reverence, service, idealism, good of the Higher Self.
The basis for my composition and personal energy work was the Vesica Pisces – sacred geometry used in religion and spirituality for thousands of years to represent a source of immense power and energy.
The Vesica Pisces is the two becoming one – just as my experience painting and your experience now witnessing become an opening for something greater.
It’s also
* an opening into the mysteries of higher consciousness
* the seed of the tree of life and basic motif for the flower of life,
* the intersection of spiritual and physical,
* creation/ birthing/ yoni/ Goddess
* two becoming one
* a symbol for Jesus Christ (the fish shape in the middle).
The Awkward Teenager Phase
This phase isn’t uncommon in an intuitive painting…. or in life!
My focus was more on process than looks. My job was to be patient and to keep loving it (and myself) as we grew.
Which of your creations may be at an awkward teenager phase right now? How can you add more love and compassion to the mix?
There are about 6 layers of washes, glazes, paint, and art therapy here. I was even down on my hands and knees scrubbing with a brush at one point to remove layers of as-yet-fully-cured washes of gold and stainless steel paint to bring back some of what I liked a few steps back.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The studio truly is a practice – for life, for self-love, for all there is. I trust in the process.
The initial layers are an investment of time, energy, and lots of expensive pro-paint… but none of it is wasted.
Every layer informs the metaphysical and aesthetic value of the finished piece.
Non-Attachment for Peace & Harmony
In order to reconnect to peace and achieve harmony, there’s no going back – just forward.
Are you too attached to the past to open to the mystery of the future and the peace in the now?
I may have loved how some of the close-up sections looked when I did those chakra coloured puddle-stripes, but it didn’t hold together as a painting.
So I kept adding layers of darker paints in the upper chakra colours to form a more uniform and darker background upon which to build the light.
Integrating the Labyrinth Series Designs
Now came time to integrate my previous 5 labyrinth paintings:

The two labyrinths have an active role in this contemplative art piece.
The viewers will be able to journey through both using a soft dry paintbrush, enhancing their meditative journey.
Here’s where I fully immersed myself in dot-therapy for days on end. Truly wonderful!
First, I dotted the bare tree branches and roots in 2 shades of iridescent copper and bronze. I also highlighted the intersections in tiny light gold dots.
Then, I added the seasons, which thankfully meant more dot-therapy! I tell ya! I was really in the dot-flow!
As one of my representations for the Law of Rhythm, the symbolism of the 4 seasons was very important for me this winter.
Business was slow and my energy seemed to match, calling for more solitude and creative time instead of focusing solely on generating new business. This project was about honouring this inner and economic rhythm instead of trying to force something that wasn’t working… yet. My job was to stay in my peace no matter what.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Once the tree was completed, it was time to work on the halo. So much Light went into this painting. It was time for it to shine out into the world.
Here, we have layers of tiny and broader brush strokes, first in zinc white (transparent), titanium white (opaque), and interference violet, blue, and orange. These appear white from one angle, but shine in colour from another.
I also added 3-D sparkly seeds in the root system to symbolize the juicy inspiration from which all grows. I love sparkle & shine!
You can also see here the triskele symbol in the 4 corners. I started with a layer in teal, then went for purple and interference violet. In person, they look like jewels.
The triskele is a Celtic design with a triple spiral. It represents the harmonious union, motion and transformation achieved through
- life-death-rebirth,
- spirit-mind-body,
- mother-father-child,
- past-present-future,
- power-intellect-love,
- and more.

Healing & Meditation Tools
I always imagined this painting hanging with a space in between the 2 canvases.
From the central root now hangs a quartz point pendant with 7 chakra stones, bringing the piece full circle from its original layers. The pendant can be easily removed if the owner wants to wear it to help balance her/ his charkas.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
There are also 7 engraved chakra stones from India resting on the top ledge of the bottom canvas – a mini-altar. It’s a good spot for the soft paintbrush to rest when not used to journey through the two labyrinths.
There, in the root system, precious objects and healing tools can both nourish and be nourished, bathed in layers of energy work and painted symbolism.
It doesn’t take a lot of room to create a mini-altar for yourself. Is that an idea that appeals?
After many hours of adding tiny branches and other touch-ups, it was time to decide it was done.
I applied an isolation coat of soft-gel to protect the pigments and then 4 coats of UV resistant varnish.
I love the symbolism.
Varnish is like surrounding yourself with a white light to protect yourself from harm. That light allows your beauty to shine through and enhances your experience of the world.
Varnish protects from dust, scratches, moisture, etc. while deepening the colours and increasing the shine (because I chose gloss).
The last coat of varnish was brushed on Mother’s Day, but the chakra stones didn’t arrive in the mail until weeks later. There you have it, this baby is ready for a new home! My work with it and its work with me is done.

#1 – Breathe
Do you spend way too much time sitting at the computer or in the car?
Haven’t you heard?! Sitting is the new smoking !
It’s time to get more oxygen into your body.
Your breath is your Life Force – your connection to Spirit and a conduit to health.
Getting your body moving is a great start. Whether you dance in your living room or walk in nature, these are definitely blessings in your life.
Now do more – look into deep breathing practices.
There are lots of benefits to deep breathing. Here are a few:
You’ll find all sorts of coaching online or through yoga and meditation classes.
So find a deep breathing practice that is right for you and incorporate it into your lifestyle. Of course, if you’re breathing fresh air, all the better. Nature is a great place for that.

#2 – Garden of Consciousness
Do you like structure in your life?
Are you a well organized person?
Are you comfortable with routine?
That’s wonderful.
But make sure to allow room for happy surprises and opportunities.
Don’t over-schedule yourself or always say “no” out of fear when an unexpected inspiration or invitation comes your way.
Better yet, invite the unexpected into your life by taking yourself on an intuitive journey.
It’ll allow you the space, time, and structure to follow your intuition and embrace the mystery. It’ll open you up in fun ways.
Here’s how it works.
Schedule an unplanned block of time for yourself. Then, either on foot, bicycle or by car, just go.
Where you ask?
That’s the point. You don’t know. Head in any direction that feels good to you and then, at every intersection, make a choice that feels right. Consider all directions and just go with your gut feeling.
I love exploring new cities in this way. I even did it by car for a few weeks as I crossed Newfoundland my first year here.
This is an exercise in feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
It’s also practice in being in the here and now – intuitively feeling your way to what’s in your Highest Interest.
You may end up in a shop, museum, swimming pool, park, or country road to the next town. Its’ all good!
Play with it. The only goal is to be open to discovering something new – about yourself and the world.

#3 – E-Motion
I once went on a guided birdwatching outing shortly after moving to a new city.
The guide pointed out many kinds of feathered creatures but failed to talk about the gorgeous iridescent birds that accompanied us the whole way. When I asked, he simply said, “Oh, those are magpies. They’re a nuisance.” I’d never seen one, however, and was in awe of both their boldness and beauty.
The same can be said of weeds. If you don’t “know better”, you might think they’re the most beautiful specimens in the garden. Your heart will open as you watch them dance in the breeze. You might even replicate their essence in a painting or in a photograph.
Where are labels, roles, and prejudices limiting your experience of life? These might be labels you’ve put on yourself or others. Or they may be labels others have put on you.
“Oh, that’s the cleaning lady”, “I’m Peter’s Mother”, “I’m retired”, “I’m an artist”, “She’s single”, “He’s married”, “They’re not from here”, “He’s a millionaire”, “She’s a doctor”, “They live in such-and-such neighbourhood”, etc.
Pay attention to how both positive stereotypes and negative labels and prejudices affect how you feel about the people and circumstances in your life.
Is there any fear involved? Any jealousy? Get to the root of your emotion and then see if you can add a little more love into the mix.
You’ll learn to appreciate the world as if it was your first time visiting.
You’ll grow to see yourself through the eyes of your soul, open to new ways of being and becoming.

#4 – Light Quest
Walking into this meadow of sparkling dew stopped me in my tracks.
My intention was to have an early morning hike on the Skirwink Trail, but I ended up on my hands and knees with my camera for a couple of hours at the trailhead, lost in the magic of these jewel-like droplets.
Are you letting magical moments and opportunities pass you by because you’re too fixed on your plans?
Are you so goal-oriented that you’ve forgotten to enjoy the journey?
Are you so rule-bound or set in your ways (or your society’s ways) that you’re not connecting in the here and now with the elements, people, and situations in your life?
By traveling or getting to know different cultures, you open yourself to different ways of being in the world.
If you can let go of the idea that your way is the right way, you’ll appreciate the differences in cultures, social norm, traditions, etc.
Then, you can more easily figure out which work for you. How would your True Self navigate the world if she or he wasn’t socialized in a particular family or culture?
There’s so much to learn from the world – from nature and various communities near and far.
Open yourself to discovery and to letting go of what may turn out to be an unatural way for you to be if you were truly true to your Self.

“Sky Dancer” – a story of angst and inspiration
/in Paintings“Sky Dancer” – buy original here ) and prints available
This story begins when I was inspired to slowly dance my way through the labyrinth in a local chapel. I was the Sky Dancer – a name I used to call myself decades ago.
The music moved me. My joy moved me. I felt so light and happy as I gracefully floated my way to the centre. There, I stayed, in a yoga child pose, expressing my thanks and reverence for all that is before slowly dancing my way back out again.
That’s how “Sky Dancer” was born – to celebrate the labyrinth as a path of elation.
The Inspired Design
I wanted her to embrace the moon with her romantically long flowing skirt and have her hair streaming in the evening breeze.
I put sacred geometry and composition rules to work, sizing her so that her head was at the sweet spot in the golden rule (rule of thirds – yellow lines) on both the horizontal and vertical axes. I also wanted her S-curved body angled to follow the line from the bottom corner to the half mark (green line). And her hair would flow from the other half to the quarter mark (violet line).
This was all very exciting!
Then It Happened
Then, one morning not two weeks after I’d finished her, I opened an email newsletter by the world-renowned artist Rassouli.
“Born Free” by Rassouli
My jaw dropped. My heart sank. I started crying in sadness and fear.
It looked like I had copied his work! I couldn’t believe it!
That month’s Rassouli featured print, was of “Born Free”, a painting I’d obviously come across at some point, inspiring me to my core. It came rising up to the surface of my consciousness when I wanted to translate my feelings into design. Either that, or we’d both tapped into the same Source of inspiration…
Before I started my art studies, art was a personal spiritual practice. I was rarely moved to look at other artists’ work.
I fell in love with Rassouli’s art about 7 years ago when a classmate at the University of Saskatchewan shared it with me . I later signed-up for his workshop near Assisi, Italy in 2014, but it was cancelled.
After the shock of seeing his “Born Free” subsided, I took his image into Photoshop, flipped it, superimposed it, and compared it with mine. Even the angle of the arms is similar, but my figure is proportionately shorter.
An Opportunity For Connection
I didn’t know what to do. Should I pull my painting off the market? Was it unintentionally violating copyright laws?
I’m not sure if it was fear or Spirit that moved me, but I I reached out to Rassouli in an email.
I didn’t want my Sky Dancer to infringe on his art!
Thank You Rassouli
I can’t tell you how relieved I was to get his reply, which he later gave me permission to quote:
The Sky Dancer Story Continues
I am moved to tears once again just sharing this story with you – but this time they are tears of humbleness and happiness. OK, vulnerability too …
Muses invite us to the dance floor. We are all touched by inspiration. Sometimes, we even receive similar visions for us to translate through our very being.
This all happened on the morning I was about to start my final labyrinth painting, a 4 x 6-foot piece that incorporates all 5 smaller labyrinth designs (including Sky Dancer) into one.
So you can just imagine how relieved I was that my email reached him, and that he took the time to so lovingly reply within hours. Thank you Rassouli.
I was freed from my angst to continue as planned!
For Sale
So yes, “Sky Dancer” is for sale!
The original is different from the prints as she’s been painted with a special “interference paint” that changes her colour depending on the angle of the light. So straight on she looks almost white, but becomes iridescent blue, violet and gold as you walk by her.
Prints are also available on paper and stretched canvas. Click here to order. Canvas prints make great finger labyrinths and can be wiped clean if you use it in a therapeutic setting.

#1 – Peace
Can you feel nature’s magical essence calling you?
Find a trail, park, or garden to spend time in today – even for just 10 minutes.
Then breathe deeply of its song.
Become one of its lyrics by connecting to the curiosity and wonder of your inner child.
Daydream among its standing people, the trees.
Close your eyes to feel the water tickling your toes.
Leave your impression in the sand while watching the clouds go by.
Hide within the tall grasses to see the world from a wolf’s perspective.
Climb a tree to commune with the birds.
Squint your eyes to blur the details. Look beyond the trees, the flowers, the grass.
Play with nature’s invitation to shift perspectives and explore various ways of being.
And breathe… always breathe. Your breath is your Life Force, your connection to Self and Spirit. Herein lies your answers and your peace.
When was the last time you truly played outdoors?

#2 – Portal
Where’s your go-to spot?
Do you have a place in nature that you go to access the Universal Energy Flow?
If you do, take time to go there.
If you don’t, explore various natural areas to discover which feels best to you.
Where you do feel the most expansive, the most connected, and the most at peace.
Think of this go-to-spot as your energy booster.
Whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed, unclear, scattered, or anxious, go there.
Establish a little ritual to deepen your connection to your Self, Mother Nature, and your Team of Divine Helpers. Ask them to help you bless this spot so that it becomes even more of a portal to your Highest Good.
You might bring an offering for the water spirits. You may take along your journal to write or your camera to focus on the beauty. You might take a nap, sing, visualize, or pray … whatever works for you.
Nature is a healer. Nature is a listener. Nature is a portal for connection, transformation, reflection.
Blessed be your go-to-spot!

#3 – Rejoice
You are amazing!
As part of the Divine Oneness, you stand alongside your fellow human beings.
But you’re also a unique expression of the Divine here on earth.
It’s time for you to rise up and celebrate your true colours. Be who you are! There’s no one else quite like you.
Find what raises your vibration and do more of that.
Add your colour to this world. That is your purpose and your roadmap to health and happiness.
It might be singing, cooking, dancing, yoga, volunteering, canoeing, leading, creating, etc. Whatever that is, bring more of it into your life.
Let it change you at a cellular level so that your very being shines in the spotlight of your joy.
By allowing your Light to shine, you’re giving others permission to do so too.
Not everyone will get it. That’s OK. Find your tribe and celebrate together.
Or stand alone, knowing you’re really never alone. You’re connected to the Divine Oneness of the Universe – no matter what you’re doing, where you are, or how you’re being.

#4 – Rooted
Are you feeling scattered or depleted?
Is life speeding by?
Then it’s time for some grounding, rooting, or earthing.
Basically, slow down, get down to earth, and feed from its energy.
Take your socks and shoes off and connect directly with Mother Nature. Or lie down in your bathing suit and allow her energy to refresh and replenish you through your bare skin. Gardening and tree hugging are also very effective.
You’ll receive a charge of energy that’ll make you feel healthier and better fast.
In our modern lifestyle, we can go days or even years without touching the earth. By losing touch with it, we’ve lost touch with our True Self, our happy healthy self.
But when you’re in direct contact with the Earth, you can replenish your energy stores.
Take the time. You’re worth it.
Your dependents or work tasks will also benefit from your self-care.
So go ahead. Take your shoes off and just stand there, soaking in the Earth’s energy much like the roots of a tree getting its nourishment from the ground. The longer and more often the better.

Two More Labyrinth Paintings
/in PaintingsTwo weeks ago, I introduced you to “Chakra Journey” and “Peace Flow”, my first 2 labyrinth paintings in this new series. It celebrates the various moods and blessings of my regular labyrinth walks. In painting them, my journey continues. In owning one of them, so can yours.
Today’s two labyrinth paintings show you the difference between a Chartres-style labyrinth and the classical 7 -circuit one.
3. “Oasis of Inspiration” Labyrinth Painting
“Oasis of Inspiration” – prints available
In this labyrinth painting, I wanted to thank my angels for their support in my intuitive process. I know they’re there with me, waiting for me to invite them into my journey. Ask and you shall receive.
Thanks to all those on FB who contributed name suggestions. Once again, I incorporated them into a prayer.
Prayer: Oasis of Inspiration
Dear God and Guiding Spirits
Angels of Light & Love
Overseers of my Highest Good
I’ve come to this oasis
Ripe with in-sight
To walk in faith
Embraced by your love.
As I journey within,
May I breathe in the Life Force
That connects me to you.
I am a dream walker
Here to voyage in the silence of my inner soul
Seeking clarity and inspiration.
I am an angel walker,
Here to explore the space between your wings
Seeking balance and peace.
As I walk this labyrinth,
May I remain attentive to the signs
And be truly transformed
In the space between each step.

4. “Mother Earth” Labyrinth Painting
When I started creating these labyrinth paintings, my friend Jill asked if I would paint her a classical 7-circuit one instead of the Chartres-style one.
When I meditated on it, I envisioned a pregnant woman with the labyrinth as her belly. This didn’t surprise me as Jill is a doula who uses labyrinths to help expectant mothers in the birthing process.
Soon after, my vision of a pregnant woman turned into a primal goddess with the whole planet in her uterus. She’d become the Great Mother, Gaia, Mother Earth.
I’m glad to say Jill was thrilled with the results of her commission.
You too can have “Mother Earth”! Prints-on-demand are available by clicking here. Order yours on paper or canvas of many sizes.
P.S. The prints on canvas are great to use as finger labyrinths and can be wiped down with a moist cloth for hygiene purposes. This makes them great for wellness centres and hospitals as well as home.

#1 – Being
Swimming with wild dolphins in Hawaii was profoundly connecting.
I got to witness their healing powers as they rallied to help the planet after the earthquake in Japan created a tsunami that swept through our retreat house (we’d been evacuated). Their geometric swimming patterns were unlike what local experts had ever seen.
If you’ve chosen this photo, it’s because you need to find peace to help you cope with the busy-ness or chaos around you. Nature is your answer.
Don’t focus on the overwhelm. Focus on peacemaking – in your own heart first and then in the world around you.
Are you a water person? Find a lake, ocean, or swimming pool.
Are you a mountain person? Go hiking or watch a nature show on the great peaks.
Are you a tree hugger? Go sit in a forest and ask Mother Earth to help ground you.
Do colourful blooms uplift you? Find a garden where you can stop and smell the flowers.
Are you an animal lover? Get yourself some pet therapy. If you don’t have your own, go to a friend’s or to a shelter to cuddle the kitties.
Do whatever you need to connect to nature in ways that are aligned with your soul. Your recipe for wellness is there this week.

#2 – Teaching
Mudras are body and hand positions that have an influence on the energies flowing through your body, mind, and spirit. They’re often used during meditation.
This photo features the Teaching hand mudra on a Buddha statue.
Is there something you’re learning that you’d like to spend more time on this week?
Are you feeling called to teach others? How? When? Where? Why?
What physical or spiritual practice has taught you to connect to your True Self and live in right livelihood? Can you add more of that to your life this week?
Perhaps you simply need to slow down and listen to your heart.
Meditation is a great tool for that and has so many benefits. The trick is finding the style that’s right for you – there are so many (learn more).
If you’ve chosen this photo, you’re being called to focus on what influences the energy flow in your life and in your being.
If nothing comes immediately to mind, brainstorm a few ideas and feel which of these creates a greater sense of expansion in your body as you contemplate it.

#3 – Rockface 2
You love ease and grace.
But you also love giving yourself entirely to a project and working hard at it.
You thrive through challenge.
You’d rather chip away at a block of stone than mold a lump of clay.
Is there’s a project you started a long time ago that’s waiting for you to get back at it?
What is it?
To give yourself fully to it, you had to accumulate more layers of life and experience. Now you’re ready.
Connect to your True Self by working full-on at what you love.
This is likely not about building something new, but working with or changing something that already exists.
Does this resonate?
If this project doesn’t immediately come to mind, ask your team of Divine Helpers to reveal it to you.
Then pay attention to your thoughts and to the signs in your environment today.

#4 – Spirit Call
This gorgeous lens flare was created in Gros Morne National Park as I pointed my camera directly into the sun over Western Brook Pond.
This sent scattered rays and orbs of light onto my sensors and into my soul.
Truly, if you raise your face to the sunshine, you will not see the shadows.
Where is your focus these days?
Are you making uplifting choices in terms of what you’re listening to, looking at, eating, etc.
Fill yourself with Light.
Choose entertainment, learning material, company, and activities that help you connect to your True Self and Source.
How can you best receive The Universe’s Light into your own life?
What helps you project your own Light into the world?
You are a lightworker. By your very being and choices you make a difference.
Feed your Self, your soul, your body, and your days with Light and then have fun sharing it in your very own unique way – in both your being and doing.

New Labyrinth Painting Series
/in Paintings“Peace Flow”
This past Saturday was International Labyrinth Day.
I only found out the day before, but it’s not the first time that my creative projects somehow align with planetary movements.
As you may have read in a previous post, walking the floor labyrinth and using the finger labyrinths in a local chapel has become part of my regular meditative practice.
I’m amazed at how different my labyrinth journeys can feel.
That’s why, in April, I decided to paint 6 labyrinth paintings that celebrate my various experiences. In painting them, the journey continues.
Here are the first 2.
1. “Chakra Journey” Labyrinth
I created this one Easter weekend.
It honours the grounding, connecting, and chakra balancing effects of journeying a labyrinth.
This painting is assisted with the energy of dragonflies to dive beneath the surface and see beyond the illusions, delusions, and self-limiting beliefs.
Prints Available
The original (12″ x 12″) was sold before it was done, but you can order prints by clicking here.
Note: Prints on stretched canvas make great finger labyrinths and can easily be wiped down with a moist cloth if you work in a setting that requires it for hygiene reasons. I suggest you get larger than a 12″ x 12″ if you want to use your fingers. You can also use a soft paintbrush to journey through it.
2. “Peace Flow” Labyrinth
”Peace Flow’ honours the process of returning to one’s centre to reconnect with the peace that is always living there. It helps shed whatever doesn’t serve you so that you can carry that peace back out with you.
Embraced by a peace dove, every dot in this labyrinth is a prayer, a meditation, a conscious opening to peace.
Buy “Peace Flow”
The original is 12″ x 16″ – SOLD
Acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvas. No framing required
The painting comes with a soft paintbrush that you can use to move your way through this Chartres style labyrinth.

I’ll introduce you to two more in 2 weeks, but if you can’t wait, you can always see what’s available on my Original Paintings page and Prints Page.
It’s been a meditative, productive, and creative month!
Tune In #6: Where Are You Rusty?
/in Photography Projects, Tune InCan you believe these are photos of rusty cars?
The Shades of Time – Autoscape series was photographed in Saskatchewan, Canada. These close-ups of old rusted abandoned cars remind us that the world is not always as it first appears. There is beauty in everything, especially when we look at it closely – we just need to have the eyes and heart to see.
Each holds a special message.
Want to find out what your intuition is saying to you today?
Tune in! Pick which photograph attracts you the most.
Then, scroll down to see where you might be a bit rusty.
As you contemplate your chosen image, also add your own interpretation. This is a great way to exercise your intuitive muscles. Why do you think that image is calling you?

#1 – Dolphin Autoscape
Oh wonders of wonders! You’re not alone!
You may not see them. You may not feel them, but they’re there…
You’ve got a whole team of Divine Helpers supporting you on your Path to your Highest Good.
These could be guiding spirits, angels, totem animals, fairies, The Universe, Great Spirit, your ancestor, God …. What do you believe in?
They’re there to help whenever you need them. All you have to do is ask. Because of Free Will, you’ve got to ask.
Then open your heart and your eyes to see the signs and manifestations all around you.
There are no coincidences. Miracles and synchronicities are your guideposts.
Trust. Believe. Open yourself to the flow of unconditional love that’s aimed right at you. Can you feel it? If not, take a moment to eliminate all distractions and ask them to make themselves felt. Then open to receiving.
P.S. I couldn’t believe it when I got my nose nearly stuck to this car to find a fully shaped dolphin with an eye, fins, and all. I felt like I’d been given a gift! This piece of the car is about 2 inches wide.

#2 – Monet Autoscape
Nothing has meaning but the meaning you give it.
Is this just a photo of a rusty car revealing all the coats of paint it’s had in its lifetime, or is it a work of art reminiscent of the great master Claude Monet’s work?
There’s no right or wrong answer to that. It totally depends on you.
So how are you seeing the world and the people around you?
What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Your choice of answer will determine the thoughts and feelings that follow.
It’s all about perception. It’s all about choice.
Think of someone or something you’re having difficulty with these days. Then see if you can’t change your perspective to approach your challenge from a different angle.
It’s not always easy. But it’s easier than living with the destructiveness that comes from judging the world harshly. You’re worth so much more than that. And so is whatever you’re judging negatively.
It all comes down to a choice of love or fear. Which will you choose?

#3 – Tofino Sunset Autoscape
Is there something in your life that feels a little drab?
Are you feeling a little blasé about any of your relationships?
How can you make something old new again?
Take a moment to close your eyes and visualize the situation as it is now. Then ask your heart how you can add a little more life, spice, or colour into it.
When I looked at all the photos from my car yard shoot that day, I could have thrown this one away. It didn’t really have a point of interest. But I’d taken it because something there attracted me in the first place
So I opened myself to a creative solution and that’s when the idea of adding a treeline silhouette from another photograph came to mind. I was inspired to transform the original background into something new and then fell in love with it all over again.
Which area of your life is asking for a little more creativity? How can you fall in love all over again?
You’re where you are for a reason, but that doesn’t mean it can’t get better.

#4 – Wave Autoscape
Where are you rough around the edges?
Is there a subject you’d like to master?
Is there a skill you’d like to polish?
Is there a relationship you’d like to smoothen out?
Now’s the time!
Don’t just skim over this for entertainment value. Take a minute and ask yourself “Where am I rough around the edges?”. Then listen to your heart.
Next, ask your Self and team of Divine Helpers what you can do about it in the month to come.
List 1-3 inspired actions that would help you be less rusty in that area or relationship.
Then go ahead. Do them.
Energy flows where attention goes. So focus on how you want to be or what you want to do and watch the magic happen. Good luck!

Embrace – a new painting
/in PaintingsDo you have days when all you want to do is lie in bed and watch 6 movies in a row?
I do.
Those days have been a part of my natural rhythm for as long as I can remember.
But I’m no sloth.
When I’m focused on a work project or in the creative flow, I’m equally happy with the long active and productive hours. I’m no stranger to 16-hour workdays.
Embracing these personal rhythms has been key to my inner peace.
There’s no use feeling guilty if I choose the company of Netflix for a day. It’s not a waste if I enjoy it.
The same goes if I spend a day in nature mid-week instead of working.
There’s as much power and peace in acceptance as there is in knowing when it’s time to shift.
Just as with our beloved trees, there’s a time for us to:
So allow yourself to be. Allow yourself to do. Embrace both your active and passive phases.
Respect your needs for alone and social time.
Design a career and a life that supports your rhythms. You’re worth it!
This new painting called “Embrace” is about accepting your own rhythms in wellness and happiness.
In this painting, the triskele, or triple spiral is a symbol of both the active and passive. It’s a reminder to balance your being and doing.
As a symbol of motion, it also beckons you forward through the cycles of your Life Path, much as the moon influences the cycles of the oceans and the seasons.
The key is not to get stuck.
Workaholism can lead to burnout and other health issues. So can spending too many days watching movies in bed.
May you dance to your own tune in harmony with the rhythms of the Universe.
May you embrace and love yourself for who you truly are in all your ways of being and doing.
Acrylics on stretched canvas. No framing required. -SOLD

#1 – At Rest
There’s a season for everything.
Your choice reveals a soul calling to rest and re-create in this quiet season of hibernation.
Is it time to slow down?
Are you in need of self-care or pampering?
Don’t let yourself get to the point of exhaustion.
There’s a natural rhythm to all things. Work with your cycles to fully benefit from all the stages of your personal and professional life.
Find peace, knowing that spring comes after winter. New growth is on its way.
But first, this is a time for rest and contemplation. Let your ideas germinate and projects gestate.
By doing so, you’re assuring that your creative juices will flow with greater abundance and fruitfulness in divine timing.

#2 – Blossoming
Life is not stagnant.
Life is not boring.
Allow variety and colour to dance in the breeze of this garden called life.
Awaken your senses to the invitations around you.
Follow your bliss to move into alignment with your soul.
What gives you the greatest joy in your life these days?
What did you love to do years back but haven’t in a while?
This isn’t about instant gratification or superficial pleasure. I’m talking real joy – that feeling of expansion throughout your whole being.
What elevates your vibration?
Add more of that into your life. Like attracts like. This is the Law of Attraction.
The more you elevate your vibration through healthy happy choices, the more you’ll attract joy-making circumstances into your life.
You have the power to manifest the growth and changes in your life that will move you forward on your Path to your Highest Good.
Write down a few that came to mind (or to heart) as you read this and make space for them in your schedule. You’re worth it!
* Need more guidance?Find out about my intuitive readings, custom guided meditations, and Soul Energy Portrait Experiences.
#3 – Consciousness
Are you truly aware of the beauty and wonder that you are?
Or is your vision clouded by thoughts, feelings, and sensations that keep you from your Self?
You’re so much more than these.
You have the introspective power to see beyond these to the treasure that lies beyond them.
Take anger for example.
You’re not your anger.
Through consciousness, you can use this anger as a tool to understand a deeper truth.
You can learn from this truth and grow from it.
That’s how you can affect the changes to move beyond that anger to reconnect to your True Self and Life Path.
In fact, that anger can become the fuel for you to make your way through the jungle of your mind to find clarity and Truth.
So don’t let yourself be overshadowed by your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Look upon them as an observer and take conscious action (or inaction) to live in alignment with your soul.
* Need more guidance?Find out about my intuitive readings, custom guided meditations, and Soul Energy Portrait Experiences.
#4 – Reverence
Do you believe in something greater than yourself?
It doesn’t matter what name you use to identify this Divine presence.
What matters here is this invitation to connect and show your gratitude through your reverence to God, The Universe, Source, Mother Nature, your ancestors, etc.
Reverence is having profound respect and love. It’s to be in awe and to express that awe.
How do you do that on a regular basis?
Are you into rituals? Either on your own or with community?
Have you taken the time lately to pray, contemplate your blessings with gratitude, commune with nature, participate in ceremony, etc.?
Tune into your heart to feel your way into reverent behaviour that will re-awaken your awe and appreciation for life and all that is.
This will naturally lead you into quiet transformation and invite even more blessings on your Path.
