Learning from the 12 Universal Laws

“All In One” – A summary of the 12 Universal Law mandalas.

I’m not proud of how this story starts. But I’m thrilled with what it taught me about how to apply the 12 Universal Laws in times of stress. May you learn from my experience.

I’d just come home from an evening of empowering stories during a Fearless Women’s Summit. I felt inspired, strong, and definitely ready for bed.

Instead of quickly drifting into blissful sleep, however, I checked my emails (first mistake).

A message from the organizer of CB Nuit (a Corner Brook art festival on Sept. 28) triggered my little-self into immediate overwhelm followed by hours of restless turning and tossing filled with anxiety, questions, a perceived lack of control, some excitement, and confusion at my unexpected and uncharacteristic state of being.

Here I was so easily thrown into reaction mode, even after a few weeks of recharging my batteries in the UK and an evening of fearless stories. I found myself far from being flexible and adaptable in my thoughts or my spirit. I was stuck in fixed ideas. I couldn’t see past my fear of failure to envisage the possibilities. Creativity was out the door. Instead, I was drowning in a perceived lack of control and capability, keeping me from my usual deep and restful sleep.

Where was that confidence, open-mindedness and open-heartedness I’d been nurturing these past few decades?

Why was I so easily taken out of my peace?

It certainly had nothing to do with the content of the email – details of a great location for my exhibition & workshops.

Sure, some of the parameters were different than what I’d imagined or experienced the year before when I got to share this same Enter the Mandala: 12 Universal Laws exhibition & workshops as godmother at the Atlantic Festival of Visual Arts (FAVA) in New Brunswick.

No big deal?! Right?!

For some reason, some small insecure part of me made it a big deal. I threw myself into a tizzy of frantic thoughts and emails. It was only hours later that I finally put on a guided meditation to help me fall asleep.

The next morning, I woke up with a fresher perspective and a few intuitive answers but still an undercurrent of stress. This time, I remembered to consciously ask for guidance on how best to plan my event and how to understand my mind’s  mishandling of the whole situation.

The Irony

My strength had turned against me. Or should I say that one of my shadows that had always helped me excel was now taking its toll.

You see, one reason I climbed the ladder so quickly in my first career in recreation is that my detail-oriented mind is excellent at imagining worst-case scenarios. Fear had helped me compensate by becoming an excellent planner and over achiever.

Somehow, lying in bed, I got stuck in the fear and its negative byproducts.

My Team of Divine Helpers highlighted the irony of the situation.

Here I was getting ready to bring my Universal Law mandalas and teachings to Corner Brook, but I wasn’t practicing them to my advantage!

I had a good laugh at myself when they told me that – a welcome bit of comic relief. The answers I sought had been in the project I was presenting. Too funny!

“Let’s review” – they advised.

So I spent the next while reviewing each of the Universal Laws in my mind and how I could use them to my advantage in this situation.

It was time to practice what I preach. What a great way to align to what I’ll be offering at the end of the month.

Using the 12 Universal Laws For Our Highest Good

If you’re new to the 12 Universal Laws, the more you understand them, the happier you’ll be. They help you transform your life from the inside out so you can become the conscious creator you were meant to be.

The Enter the Mandala Collection was created over the span of a year in 2015 while my Team of Divine Helpers was teaching them to me. To learn more about the collection and access all 12 original blog posts with the intuitive reading recordings, click here.

Today, let me share how reviewing the 12 Universal Laws changed my internal experience and no doubt my upcoming results.  You’ll notice as you read that they’re interconnected and sometimes overlap.

1.  Law of Divine Oneness:

Remembering that all that is seen and unseen comes from a field of infinite possibilities, I realized my reactionary thought stream came from an unwelcome “the world against me” point of view. Where did this feeling of not only separateness but conflict come from? There were many healthier perspectives and possibilities to choose from. I wasn’t seeing all the people and logistical details as moving together as one web of interconnectedness. Instead of adding beauty and harmony to the dance, my thoughts were like an out-of-control child having a temper tantrum on the dance floor. For me to move more harmoniously as part of the Divine Oneness, I had to reposition myself in my mind as a willing and joyful dance partner, trusting that everyone and everything (including myself) was moving together to make this festival – and my part in it – a success. Me as we and we as me…

2.  Law of Vibration:

Absolutely everything is alive with pure energy vibrating at different frequencies. As a vibration manager, my role was to reach for higher frequencies to attract more of what resonates at that same frequency. There’s no way I was going to have a positive experience or attract positive outcomes if I stayed stuck in that low vibe that was so far from my usual frequency. I might not have been able to  jump from fear straight up to love, but I finally used that guided meditation to feel better and fall asleep.

For my event to create a space of joyful manifestation for its participants, I have to bring more joy into my days and every step of the planning process. This means breathing deeply when I’m scared and doing what I need to do more quickly to raise my vibration. Since then, whenever I feel myself go into overwhelm, I immediately take time out for yoga, a backyard break, walk, prayer, affirmations, or meditation. My tolerance for ego-generated negative stress is much lower now. Or rather, my ability to recognize it as signalling a need for change is better.

3.  The Law of Action:

I’ve regularly experienced how, when fuelled by the fires of purpose and passion, each inspired step towards our dreams leads to the opportunities and tools we need to achieve them. In terms of this festival, I’d been guided into proposing new events, was chosen to participate, received funding to pay for my travels, and offered housing for my stay in Corner Brook. Through the continuous process of tuning in, communicating to the Universe, staying open and receptive, and following through on guidance, I’d been creating the necessary momentum to manifest my vision.

Fear on that sleepless night had cut me off from my intuition. When I was reacting in a state of stress, I sent off a series of uninspired emails about details that could have been better handled in the morning. Although the next day’s outer work started off much later than I like, I’m so glad I listened when I was guided upon waking to do some inner work with Derek Rydall’s Shadow Dancing meditation. Wisely investing the time to understand what was at the root of my fears helped me flow to the right questions to ask the organizer, the creative ideas of how to set up my exhibition, and more.

4. The Law of Correspondence:

The world as we see and experience it stems from our thoughts and feelings. The more you nurture and cultivate your inner world, the more your outer world will match your true essence. Moment-by-moment, are you choosing light or darkness – love or fear?

For me to be so easily triggered into overwhelm was both surprising and revealing. I had obviously chosen fear in that moment- showing me that there’s still a lot happening in my inner world that could use more love. Being honest about what happened – to myself, a confidante, and now the whole world via this blog post – is all part of cultivating love in myself and the world around me. I know how important it is to do the inner work. It’s made such a difference in so many areas of my life already. Whatever triggered that anxiety bout was an opportunity to heal something deep within. I’m glad to report that similar situations since have been met with greater trust, openness, and action vs. reaction.

5.  The Law of Cause & Effect:

Everything happens for a reason. Even that sleepless night.

My reaction was an obvious result of my shadows and fears developed throughout the years. I’d learned to be control-hungry as a way of coping with my fear of the unknowns. I’d also learned to be defensive because I’d been bullied as a child. My reaction was a leftover from my past.

My future, however, is being shaped through my thoughts and actions of today. By laughing with myself while embracing this seeming debacle of an evening was a start. Learning & teaching from my experience is definitely helping me become more flexible, adaptable and self-loving. The time invested in understanding & accepting myself so I can emerge more fully as my True Self is shaping my future.

6.  The Law of Compensation:

The more you give, the more you get. The opposite is also true.

With my ego having such set expectations and fear-based thinking, I was closing the doors to my mind, my heart, and the greater good of my participants. I’d made “me” the centre of my event. Yikes! As soon as I realized that, I asked myself  “How can I be kinder to myself and with others as I prepare? How can I be more generous in what I’m offering? ”  Once I remembered what I really wanted to contribute and build in the world by sharing this art collection and related events, my whole experience changed.

As my heart expanded, so did my vision for my role in CB Nuit. I know I’ll receive so much from leading my workshops and ongoing nighttime event on the 28th. I come alive in front of groups and get such joy from sharing uplifting experiences. May I be a channel of the Universe’s abundance for the thousands who visit this festival.

7.  The Law of Attraction:

Like attracts like. I know that if I follow my bliss, I’ll attract more bliss that helps me shine my Light.

The Universe is already answering my prayers.  My absolute thrill and gratitude for my role at the FAVA last years definitely led to this opportunity to expand on the same offerings.

By repeatedly accepting my Team of Divine Helpers’ invitation to stretch my comfort zones and grow, I open myself to more emergence into my True Self.  I know that if I dwell on the negative possibilities, I’m going to bring them into my reality. No thank you! Instead, I’ll keep on connecting to love, beauty, joy & peace every day. I’ll also focus on my gratitude for the art, the teaching, the travel, and the opportunities for connection at CB Nuit. I love my life! When I focus on that, I attract a lot more to love!

8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy:

Energy is constantly moving in response to our thoughts and emotions. By consciously focusing our attention, we can create the world we want. Turn your face to the sunshine, and watch your reality transform itself.

Through change comes growth, through growth comes change.  It never stops. As soon as I focused on all that was amazing about CB Nuit and my participation in it, the more I realized how I was freaking out about a few tiny pieces of the puzzle. By redirecting my thoughts, I shifted my internal and external reality and those pieces appeared in perfect timing. When I need help shifting my focus, I take the time to do do a guided meditation or hypnotherapy audio program.

If I’d ignored the experiences of that restless night, what triggered it would continue to fester below the surface. By changing my thoughts and emotions through self-awareness and choice, I changed the flow of energy.

9.  The Law of Relativity:

Everything is relative. We create our misery by comparing ourself and our life to what we judge as better people, circumstances, or times. Nothing has meaning except the meaning you give it. Use your judgements to guide you out of the darkness and into the Light. Love what is, and be happy.

Instead of loving what was, or even acknowledging it, I got caught in a deadly game of shoulds, coulds, and comparisons. I gave the uncertainties an unhealthy meaning. Instead of seeing the challenges as possibilities, my fear triggered anger & anxiety. I dove deep into my darkness instead of sleeping. I could have said “Fun, a new situation to explore and play with in the days to come”, but instead I said “I don’t know what to do with this and I can’t handle that!”.  Luckily, I eventually used this unhappiness to guide me out of my judgments and back into a more loving way to approach life. Yay!

10. The Law of Polarity:

We live in a dualistic world. It’s what makes existence possible. There’s no north without south, hot without cold, sweet without sour, etc. The beauty is that there’s a whole continuum of existence between those polar opposites. When we focus on the opposite of what we don’t want, we start moving along the continuum towards what we do want. Where attention goes, energy flows. You always have a choice. Which way do you want to tip the scale?

I spent hours focusing on what could go wrong, how it was too much for me to do alone, and how things were different than I’d imagined. Thankfully, the next day I was able to start visioning the magical event I wanted to co-create. That got me heading in the right direction. The details have continued to fall into place, one at a time as I aim towards what I want to open for my participants. I even recruited a skilled volunteer to help me. I’m not doing this alone!

11. The Law of Rhythm:

Nothing is random. There’s order in the Universe through the repetitive movement, patterns, and cycles in everything. This is as true about the seasons as it is about relationships and the economy. Don’t fight the cycles. Work with them to your advantage. Mastering the Law of Rhythm means finding balance and equanimity no matter which way the pendulum is swinging.  Are you riding an emotional roller coaster or are you in a state of inner peace and joy, no matter what?

Well, that night I’d jumped on the emotional roller coaster! I wasn’t respecting the fact I was tired and in need of sleep. Being a morning person is part of my fear – will I be able to enthusiastically lead events until midnight and get everything packed up / cleaned up by 2am ? I usually go to bed at 9pm because I wake up at 4 or 5am. Knowing this, however, I’ve planned my trip to arrive 2 days before so I can regulate my sleep and energy levels. I’ll make sure to have enough me-time to recharge my batteries, so I can be at my optimum to teach a morning & afternoon workshop before leading 5 hours of programming at night. I can do this if I eat well, sleep well, and manage my energy. Self-knowledge is key!

12. The Law of Gender:

First, gender exists in everything and on all planes: physical, mental, and spiritual. It takes both male properties (will, penetration, action, expression) and female properties (intuition, openness, allowing, nurturing) for all creation. Second, everything needs time to gestate and grow. The more you focus on and nurture your dreams, the faster they’ll come to fruition. Any doubt or negativity will stunt or kill their growth.

I didn’t need to know all the answers that night. Getting swallowed up by fear wasn’t healthy. If I’d stayed there, I’d have killed any chance of creating something beautiful at CB Nuit. Thankfully, I was guided to do what I needed to do to be what I needed to be – my true creative loving self co-creating the life of my dreams by helping others do the same. In the 2 weeks that followed that restless night, many of the details came together with ease & grace. I just had to be patient and trust. I still don’t know how many people will show up and exactly how I’ll set up the exhibition. I’ll prepare as much as I can (the masculine) and be open to the possibilities that present themselves once I’m on location (the feminine). I’ve led a fulfilling intuitive life so far by feeling the fear and doing it anyway. This is just another opportunity to do so and grow.

I may not be a master yet, but I’m an enthusiastic student of the 12 Universal Laws and look forward to teaching more about them through my art & events at CB Nuit in Corner Brook on September 28th. Join me!

Sacred Pilgrimage to Glastonbury

Portrait of Dominique Hurley at the Chalice Well

Portrait of Dominique Hurley at the Chalice Well in Glastonbury, UK by Christine Radnich Photography

Oh Blessed Be! After years of connecting to the energies and waters of Glastonbury UK, I was finally called to visit in person. I’m so glad I answered that call.

Sixteen days was too short!

It feels like I was just starting to slow down on the doing to benefit from the being when it was already time to leave.

Back in November, my Team of Divine Helpers had introduced this pilgrimage as “The Gateway”.

Do I fully understand why yet?  No. But that’s OK.

Three weeks after my journey across the Pond, I’m still integrating all that I learned and experienced in my time there.

This transformative trip offered me so much on so many levels – body, mind & spirit.

  • day trips to Uffington, Wells & Tintagel-Cornwall
  • Multidimentional Energy Clearing & Realignment + Karuna Reiki training (Levels 1 & 2)
  • 6-day Sun Lover Goddess Conference
  • 3 nights at the Chalice Well Gardens with private access to the gardens after closing time
  • solo walks at sacred sites in Glastonbury
  • hours reading the amazing channeled book “Anna- Grandmother of Jesus”
  • a digital detox (no social media, blog posts, emails or newsletters)
  • and more.

Of course I took thousands of photos – all with my iPhone! That’s a first. My shoulder injury from last winter is helping me lighten the load. Although I’d brought my pro gear for my 3 days in the Garden, I never used it. You can see all my albums on Flickr or on Facebook.  But I’ve included my favourite 77 below.

The Sun Lover Goddess Conference

I only decided to participate in this intensive 6-day adventure when a friend told me it was happening during the dates I’d been intuitively guided to journey to Glastonbury

It was overwhelming, humbling, exhilarating and exhausting. I’d leave my B & B at 7:30am and often not return until 10 or 11pm. If you know me, that’s way past my bedtime! But I didn’t want to miss anything.

The whole town was a mega version of what I’d experienced pockets of in this lifetime. Hundreds of new age shops and a vibe unlike anywhere else!

Every day, we participated in full assembly (200+) ceremonies, presentations & rituals as well as small group workshops & conversation circles. There were venues all around town, including some art galleries, Goddess Temple, Goddess Hall, and Goddess House.

A group of 10 ceremonialists had been planning it for a year. What an organizational feat!

I laughed, I cried, I sang, I danced, I learned & I witnessed. I joined the crowds and retreated in solitude.

This was my first full immersion in the world of the Goddess. Wow! My mind, eyes and heart are definitely more open to the meaning of the Divine Feminine now.

I may not be one of those who travel yearly to attend this conference (next year’s 25th Conference will be for the Earth Mother Goddess) but I know I was meant to be there this year. What a blessing! My consciousness has expanded because of it.

The Chalice Well Garden

“The Chalice Well is among the best known and most loved holy wells in Britain.

The Well and surrounding gardens are a Living Sanctuary, a place to soothe the soul and revive the spirits. Since ancient times, wells have been regarded as sacred places, giving access to the mysterious and Divine. Here, we honour, as others have done for thousands of years, the Well and the healing and restoration it offers.

In the past, it was known as the ‘Red Spring’ or ‘Blood Spring’ because of the red iron deposit the water leaves on everything it touches. Many legends are attributed to its waters, not least among them is that they represent the blood of Christ, miraculously sprinting forth from the ground when Joseph of Arimathea buried or washed the cup used at the last supper. For others the waters are acknowledged as the essence of life and so a continuous spring like the Chalice Well is seen as a direct expression of unbounded life force.” (from the garden brochure – www.chalicewell.org.uk)

This is the real reason I felt called to Glastonbury. I bought a pendant of the Vesica Pisces Chalice Well cover in Saskatoon back in 2008, before I knew what it was.

When I moved to St. John’s in 2011, my friend and collector Regina Wright gave me a small bottle of both the Red Spring waters from the Chalice Well and the White Spring Water from across the street. I’ve been using these to bless my canvases ever since. Just as I was running out, Tristan of Otherworld Treasures in Ottawa gave me 2 bottles to thank me for a mediation I’d led in his shop.

When I was studying at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art in Austria in 2013/14, I learned about the sacred geometry of the Vesica Pisces: the two becoming one, the marriage of Heaven & Earth, and so much more. It called more and more to be included in my paintings.

I was so glad Regina told me the Gardens have a few rooms for Companions, giving you 24/7 access to the grounds. So I bought a membership and booked 3 nights after the Conference, thinking I’d cloister myself for some contemplative integration time. Well, that turned out to be 2 days & 3 nights with a day trip in the middle. One of the Conference participants, Donna Virgilio, who is also a tour guide, offered me a seat on her bus to Tintagel-Cornwall. I couldn’t say no!

I loved the Gardens. I experienced it through my eyes (camera), feet, and heart. Still, I feel like I only scratched the surface of what there is for me there. But having been in person and having brought back 2 big bottles of healing waters, the work continues from here.

Oh, and I’m still reading the channeled Anna books I bought there.  They’re resonating so deeply with me. They reveal an expanded version of the story and family of Jesus and of their time in Glastonbury among many other places; it’s a fascinating, heart-opening read. When I finished the first book, my whole being was buzzing with energy. I totally recommend them.

The Sweet 77 – A Photo Summary

If you visit my albums on Flickr or Facebook, you’ll also get descriptions of each place I visited. My Chalice Well Garden album of 186 photos, for example, will give you a slow meditative journey through the whole gardens.

For now, enjoy this visual summary of my trip. May it be another testimony of the value of following our inner callings.

Permission Granted – On Summer Sabbatical

horse painting with sunset colours

“Spirit Horse” (12″ x 24″) – $867 – Buy it here

How good are you at giving yourself permission?

I still can’t believe I’m doing this, but what a relief! Permission granted!

I’m taking a break from online work while on sacred pilgrimage to Glastonbury. No blog posts. No newsletters until September. I’m not even bringing my computer! I have my skating injury to thank for inspiring this lightening of the load since my shoulders can’t take the weight.

As a full-time artist, sole bread winner & ex-workaholic, this decision wasn’t made easily.

But who would I be if I didn’t practice what I preach, including self-care.

I haven’t missed a newsletter since I started 5 years ago or a blog post in almost twice that time.

But all year, my eyes have been drawn to a magazine clipping in the corner of my Intuitive Vision Board that says “Yes, you can pull off a sabbatical.”

So I am…. I’m taking a summer sabbatical. This will be your last blog post until September.

That’s not all. I’m going on a total digital detox!

Despite what the marketing experts say about “out of sight, out of mind” and the potential impact on my income, I’m breaking my pattern of persistency and consistency.

In this day & technological age, we’ve not only become dependent on technology for our life but have started living for it.

You know I enjoy sharing the love & beauty I experience. I’m all for exploring & expressing it. But I too have been guilty of living only partly in the moment while thinking of what I’ll be posting about it.  I’ll even draft the accompanying text in my mind as I swim, walk, or cycle.

I need a break from that to break that pattern.

This is no ordinary holiday I’m on. It’s a divinely guided sacred pilgrimage and what my Team of Divine Helpers have called a Gateway.

So I’m giving myself permission to get off my personal Facebook and Instagram while I’m out of the country.

It’s time to disconnect to reconnect. After all, this trip is part of my Re-Connecting project and the build-up to my last painting in the series.

I have, however, pre-sheduled 3 posts a day on my professional Facebook Page, so feel free to login there if you’re in the mood for a bit of Dominique Hurley art & inspiration. Or peruse the wealth of resources here on my website.

Or maybe this will inspire you to try a digital detox of your own.

Turn your social media off for blocks of time. Check emails only every few days. Give yourself the time and space to be with and for yourself.

And if you’re already great at this, take a look at what other area in your life you don’t give yourself permission in.

Have a great month and I’ll be in touch sometime after I get back. Until then,

Love & Blessings,

Dominique

P.S.  A few days after preparing this post, I found out I didn’t get the $25K art grant I was hoping for to cover my investment in the 9-month project I’ve been working on. The Universe obviously has other plans.. “When one door closes, God opens a window”. I don’t regret spending 2 full weeks preparing the grant application package early in the year. It helped me open up to the inspiration for the details of this guided project, including my amazing week as Artist in Residence in Carbonear. My job is to stay happy no matter what. I appreciate all the abundance in my life, and there’s so much of it. I’ll admit the ego had its few minutes of coping with rejection and expectations. But after grieving what I thought was going to happen, it quickly became time to embrace the mystery of what’s to unfold. I’ve always been creatively resourceful in the past, and so it continues. May we all journey on our Path to our Highest Good with ease & grace. Peace be with us.

Do Chickens Fly? Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway

intuitive painting of a snow owl in flight

“Night Vision” (12″x36″) – Prints available in many sizes & mediums.

Chickens don’t fly very high, very far, or very long. The longest flight recorded was 13 seconds – 10 feet high and 300 feet in distance. So often, they just don’t bother flying at all.

Believe it or not, I’m a big chicken. I’m scared of so much.

People can’t believe that when they look at my life – living and working intuitively in 3 careers on 3 continents and 5 provinces, several returns to school, and now living as a full-time artist & Lightworker.

So maybe it’s not true. But I keep saying it.

After all, I’m concerned at having to figure out my way from the Gatwick airport to Glastonbury with a heavy suitcase in 2 days – 2 trains, a bus, and a taxi after an overnight flight…. scary, right?!

So is the idea of being in a huge crowd of strangers at a Goddess Conference for 9 days. Will I be drained by so much people time? Will I be able to take full advantage of the morning-til-night schedule? Will I have the right clothing for the weather? Will I like my B & B?  Will I have enough sun screen and if not, will I be able to find hypoallergenic natural stuff?  What is this “Gateway” my Team of Divine Helpers told me about?

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway

I’m just not a natural risk-taker. I’m not a big fan of change either… but the only thing constant in life is change itself.

The upside to all this is that if I’m guided, nothing stops me.

I’ve come to trust my intuition. I still feel the fear, but it gets mixed with a level of excitement that’s a sure sign of impending growth.

Intuition is always a call for growth. Growth means stretching your comfort zones. And stretching can be uncomfortable. Unfamiliar. But oh so worth it!

We’re not meant to stay small. We have to break through that shell that’s our limiting beliefs and fears to spread our wings and fly!

Breath by breath, step by step, keep asking “What would love do now?” Tune into your heart and soar.

One book that really helped me years ago is Susan Jeffers classic ” Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway“. If being a chicken has kept you on the ground or limited the scope of your flight, get yourself a copy. You won’t regret it.

And perhaps stop affirming that you’re a chicken.  Oops, didn’t I just do that?!

Spread Your Owl Wings

Instead, recognize yourself for the wise, powerful, sensitive & agile owl that you are.

You have it in you to appreciate the mystery of the dark nights, seeing with a vision that pierces through the shadows. You too can navigate through the dreamtime to access your Guidance. Through intuition and awareness, you can find your way to new heights and journey new distances.

Emulate the owl. Turn your neck to see a situation from all angles. Your awareness of your fears and of the reality before you will help you gain a more realistic perception of a situation.

Through strategy and awe-inspiring maneuvering, you’ll fly through the challenges to grasp the opportunities.

There’s nothing wrong with chickens. But if you’re ready to claim dominion in this sacred realm that is your life, you may want to start calling yourself an owl instead.

Embrace your magical ability to shift form and reality through the power of your thoughts and actions.

I am.

So here I go. I’m flying to England, embracing the mystery of what my weeks there hold. I’m excited! I’ve done all my research & reservations and now, I just have to trust.

Yes, I feel the fear. I recognize my ego’s desire to keep me in the status quo, to keep me living small, to worry about the “what ifs” and “hows”.

But I also recognize the presence of my True Self. Like the owl, I’m connected to Spirit. I trust that my Guidance can see the big picture and is guiding me each step of the way.

Where are you being a chicken in your life? Are you ready to call in your inner owl instead?

Feel the fear and do it anyway. It’s a much more fulling way to be.

Disclaimer: No identification with actual chickens (living or deceased) is intended or should be inferred. God loves chickens as much as owls. It’s just an expression.

A Close Look at Night Vision II – The Painting

Re-Connecting #10- Journey of Self-Discovery

Journey of Self-Discovery painting

“Journey of Self-Discovery” 24″ x 48″ – Original and Prints for sale

Who am I? This is an ageless question asked by countless seekers on their journey of self-discovery.

Do you attribute your temperament to your ancestral make-up or zodiac sign?

How strongly do you identify with your gender, country, religious upbringing?

What books have helped you understand who you are and why you’re here?

What tools have helped you know & accept your personality type?

What has shaped your way of perceiving the world?

From the moment we’re born, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, trying to find our place in relation to our parents, families, communities, social & professional circles, world and beyond.

Who am I? How do I fit in? Where do I fit in? Do I need to fit in?

This journey of self-understanding and identity building is as unique as you are.

“Journey of Self-Discovery”, painting #10 in my Re-Connecting Collection, visually represents what’s helped me understand who and what I am in this lifetime.

As you keep reading, reflect on what your painting would include.

Journal or sketch it out as part of your re-connecting to your True Self on your path of purpose.

My Ancestry

I’ll admit that when I painted the coloured background at the top of this painting, I hadn’t intended for it to look like the female reproductive system.

That’s often how it works in intuitive painting. It was the shape of this birthing canal that inspired my decision to include my genetic makeup.

I was born in a French Canadian Catholic family in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. My ancestry is 1/8 German, 1/8 Irish, and 3/4 French.

That’s from the earthly perspective.

From a spiritual perspective, however, I believe that I’m an individualized expression of the Divine. I sense it as Truth that we’re all part of that Divine Oneness. That’s why I included a big 3-D drop of gold paint at the very top, representing that drop of the pure divine essence some call God.

Being born into this world from the Spirit World, I chose to paint an angel as the representation of my team of Divine Helpers and other souls who agreed ahead of time to support me in various ways on my earthly journey.

This angel looks very much like the ones in the stained-glass windows at the Notre Dame Basilica in Ottawa – where I received the intuitive message to create this collection.

Journey of Self-Discovery

It was only after I’d painted the top that I realized I’d forgotten to include something that identified me as Canadian. Oops. Yet, it’s a strong part of my identity.

My background living & working in the nation’s capital for many years gave me a good background on what it meant to be Canadian.

But it was when I was teaching about Canada during my 5 years in the Czech Republic and South Korea that I realized how little I truly knew. That’s when I set the intention to discover who I was in relation to this huge land I called home.

Since then, I’ve lived & worked in 5 provinces and have visited the other 5. I’ve yet to explore the 3 territories though.

Until my next intuitive call, I’m happy to continue living on the island of Newfoundland, which I’ve called home since 2011.

So – that’s where that big red maple leaf comes in – added once I’d already painted the other central elements.

First were the 2 triangles pointing in different directions – up for the masculine and down for the feminine. These help shape the overlapping circles and the sacred geometry of the Vesica Pisces. If you’re familiar with my art, you know I use this symbol of two becoming one a lot.

In the sweet spot – the shape at the middle of the two circles – is the third eye. Intuition. My life has been shaped by connecting to my True Self and following my inner guidance around the world. It’s helped me see myself and others through a different perspective – one of increasing love & beauty.

After all, my life purpose is to travel the world exploring and expressing my love of beauty and the beauty of love. It took 6 months of working with the book “What Matters Most” by Hyrum Smith to figure that out.

The centre of my painting is the journey of becoming whole – first as a spiritual being having a human experience.

It’s also about harmonizing  my sacred feminine and masculine. For many years, they were at war inside my head.

I’m not sure if I was born a stronger Right or Left brained child, but I certainly was very well trained in the Left Brain world. So much so that my Right, feminine, intuitive self shrunk with the years until a healer cautioned me to do something about it quick.

That’s when I got back into the arts, which led to strengthening my intuition …. and the rest is history.

The textured couple represent both that balance of the feminine and masculine within me as well as my identity-building within  the context of relationships – with family, friends, co-workers, and soul-mates.

I may be a highly sensitive introvert who enjoys a lot of solo time, but I also cherish my connections with like-minded souls.

I grew up in an insular military family. It was really only after my 10-year marriage and 2 more provinces that I discovered a sense of belonging and community. Before that, I had one or two close friends wherever I lived, but never had a sense of tribe. Saskatoon changed that.

Who we are within society and in relationship with others is a balancing act – one I chose to represent here through the yoga tree pose – grounded & connected in dynamic stillness and mutual support.

The Tools

I’ve been a spiritual seeker from as far as I can remember. I spent many introspective hours alone in nature as a young child. I also remember reading booklets about Saints and the Children’s Bible in my pre-teens.

My grade 9 religious studies teacher, Lysette Brochu, was moved to give me a copy of Og Mandino’s The Greatest Miracle in the World. For decades after that, I mostly read personal and spiritual growth books.

Here, I chose to honour a few of the most significant books from my past.  I let go of books as soon as I read them, so I had to recreate them in Photoshop from scratch. Then, made a gel image transfer so that the books would be semi-transparent, letting the texture and colour of the gold background infuse the titles.

The knowledge and wisdom from these books run through my essence just as my ancestor’s blood run through my veins.

So does what I’ve learned about myself as a Scorpio (in western astrology) and a Fire Horse (in Chinese astrology). The latter are dreaded, I’ve read, by Chinese parents. But I quite like who I am.

Other tools that influenced my self-understanding & self-acceptance were the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the one included in the book Now, Discover Your Strengths.

An Ever Evolving Journey

Emerging more fully into ourselves is a journey that spans many lifetimes, or so I believe.

The clockwise and counter-clockwise spiral vines on the background represent this constant journey of allowing Spirit to guide us inward and then back out again into the world through our various ways of being & doing.

Framing the painting are the two Towers of Truth & Knowledge standing in the etheric plane. These are where I imagine the Akashic Records  (Book of Life) to be stored. They’re like a super computer that can access all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth in the past, present & future – thoughts, words, deeds, intentions, etc.

Exploring these on my own and with trained practitioners has been a fun part of this road trip called life.

The Painting – Journey of Self-Discovery

Emerging as my True Self with the help of this entire frame of reference has been a work in progress – a journey of self-discovery and identity-building that I’ve found important in allowing myself to be all I was meant to be.

Meet Me in the Middle for Romance

Sacred Romance - Meet Me in the Middle - painting of couple in Vesica Pisces

“Meet Me In the Middle” ( 18″ x 36″) – $2, 267 CAD

What can I say?!  I’m a romantic. Are you?

Romance is a way of life.

It’s about joining with a moment, a flower, a feeling, a thought, or a person to experience each other with curiosity and wonder.

It’s the creation of something new when two elements of the Divine Oneness come together in that sacred space in the middle to be real.

Is the tree or river impacted by my joy of photographing it? I believe so.

Is your partner impacted by your truly seeing, accepting, and celebrating him or her? Absolutely!

Romance is that awareness and celebration of the delightful , comforting, vulnerable, revealing truth of the moment.

Romance in the Studio

The very creation of this painting was romantic. It gave me its name soon after the vision popped into my mind. I hadn’t even finished varnishing my other dragonfly painting, “Aligned“, when this one called me to join with it for a magical few days of play.

I was taking a break from the spiritually intensive process behind the Re-Connecting Collection. I just wanted to play with paint while watching movies or listening to inspirational podcasts. I was in the mood for something lighter.

I’d had so much fun designing the multi-layered dragonfly stencil for the previous one, so I was thrilled for this new calling. A dragonfly duo! Yay!

“Meet Me in the Middle” celebrates the unconditional love that is possible when both individuals in a couple unite in unconditional love, which is only possible when they let go of illusions & delusions to be  present in Truth. It honours the role of both to see and be seen as well as to accept and be accepted for who they truly are.

Layer after layer the vision came into being as I was willing to meet and be with it.

Relationship as a Sacred Space

Isn’t that just like in relationships?

Emerging into our full selves happens layer by layer, step by step.

Figuring out who we are as individuals and as a couple is a sacred process indeed!

I was married for 10 years.

As we grew together, we got to know ourselves better.

Circumstances made it so we couldn’t be bothered sweating the small stuff. We had too much big stuff to deal with. This challenge was a gift – I had to pull on all my inner and outer resources to support myself and my husband through life & death times.

Once we pulled through the crisis, however, we discovered that to be true to ourselves, we needed to let the other go. We were no longer living in alignment with our Higher Self – something we only discovered as we emerged more fully into authenticity. This required being honest with ourselves first and then each other. Not easy.  No regrets.

We’d been the best of friends and so wishing for the other’s happiness as well as our own was natural. Letting go became the most loving thing to do. We divorced with more love than we when we got together.

Thankfully, because of our challenges, I’d learned to not live under the hold of “What will they think?”. Being true to myself was more important than my fear of judgement. That’s important to live an authentic life. So I never judged my divorce as a failure. I could see it for the success that it was.

We were doing what was right for us and did so lovingly. That was possible because we’d truly lived and loved in the middle of that sacred space.

In Relationship with Your Self First

That was about 17 years ago. I’ve grown a lot since then, continually meeting my Self in that sacred space in the middle – getting to know and love myself as I continue my journey.

It’s so important to take the time to romance your Self, whether you’re single or in relationship.

That way, you’ll bring with you your truest, strongest, most beautiful, and most loving self to the relationship. From that sacred space can only emerge a more magnificent creation born of unconditional love for yourself and your partner.

Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Painting all this in “Meet Me In the Middle”  was part of my romancing idea of joining in Truth with the next right man for me.

Can you relate?

What does “Meet Me In the Middle” bring to heart for you? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.

Are You Aligned With Your Core Values?

Are you aligned with your core values? dragonfly painting

“Aligned” (20″ x 20″) – SOLD

Are you living in alignment with your core values?

Are your choices aligned with your Higher Self vision of your life?

I woke up beating myself up because it was already 8:30 AM. My productive hours usually start at 5 AM.  But I stayed up until midnight watching a Bollywood movie, and my body claimed the next 8 hours for sleep.

I could have gone on beating myself up for my poor choice and dove into my work (writing several blog posts).

Instead, I accepted the sun’s rare appearance as an invitation to get myself back on the loving track.

I wouldn’t be spending the whole day until sundown at the computer or in the studio. Nope!

I brushed my teeth, packed my breakfast & pad of paper, and headed out to Fort Amherst on my bike – a seaside spot on the cliffs 20-30 minutes away.  There, I sat for a couple of hours drafting a few blog posts and enjoying just being.

This was only my 2nd time on my bike this year – the weather being only one of the reasons. It felt great to get my body moving with such beauty all around. It was grounding. It was connecting. The sound of the crashing waves on the cliffs nourished my heart while my smoothie and organic grapes nourished my body.

Was I still in negative self-talk? Absolutely not. What I’d perceived as a ‘failure’ was simply motivation to make a better choice for the rest of my day.

My body, mind & spirit were now in the right space to write to you.

That’s what this painting is all about. “Aligned” is a reminder that our life flows from our essence, our core values, towards our Higher Self vision of our life.

The upside down rose quartz worry stone in the top corner represents the dissipation of worries when love & compassion guides our perspective & choices.

Which Way Feels Aligned to You?

Dragonfly energy helps us to look past the illusions and delusions of the shoulds, woulds, and coulds of life to know our own Truth and set our own direction.

This is why I wired the back of the painting in a way that lets you choose to hang “Aligned” in a way that speaks to you on any given day.

Living in alignment isn’t about being and doing for others’ approval. It’s about designing your own best life that reflects your values.

When we let go of those illusions and delusions that we’ve authored or adopted, we naturally become happier and healthier.

What Are Your Core Values?

There’s no one telling me but me what time is best to go to bed or to wake up at. I’ve come to learn with time what my optimal conditions are for a great day. Beating myself up when I change that around a bit, however, is definitely not in alignment with my values of love, including self-love.

Time in nature, exercise, writing from a space of love (vs. obligation/scheduling) – those are in alignment with my core values of spirituality, love, beauty, integrity, and freedom.

What are your core values? What matters most to you?

Take a look at Scott Jeffrey’s list of 200 if you want to dive into this exercise.

Which Areas Are Not Aligned With Your Core Values?

Now take a look at the 8 areas of your life. How can you better live in alignment to your values?

As you read through this list, pay attention to what comes to mind/heart. If it feels loving, it’s your intuition speaking. If it doesn’t, it’s your critical self-talk.

What can you let go of in the areas that feel out of alignment? What can you add more of or change?

The 8 Areas:

  1. Physical Environment
  2. Fun / Recreation
  3. Business / Career
  4. Personal / Spiritual Development
  5. Wellness & Health
  6. Romance / Family
  7. Finances / Life Planning
  8. Society / Community

Awareness is key to emerging more fully as your True Self.

No Regrets

Writing this at the end of a bike ride, sitting on a cliff overlooking the ocean was a great choice. My whole day turned out happier & healthier because I chose not to spiral down the rabbit hole of critical self-talk then dive into my work resenting the fact I was behind schedule and couldn’t enjoy the sunshine while it lasted.

I’ve designed a life and career that allows me the freedom to do so. Sure, sometimes I may not make the best choices. But that’s no reason to beat myself up. That wouldn’t be very loving. Instead, I continue to strive to live in a way that I’ll be able to say on my deathbed – “I have no regrets”.

You? What signals is your body, mind, or spirit giving you today to get your life back on track? These are gifts! Accept and act on those intuitive taps on the shoulders before they become a 2′ x 4′. It becomes harder then to live without regrets.

Get On the Beam – How to Become a Clear Channel

How to become a clear channel

“On the Beam” (12″ x 24″) – $867 CAD – Purchase through “Earth & Sky Gallery” (summer 2021)

Have you heard the Peace Prayer of Saint Francis that starts with “Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace”? That’s part of what channeling means to me.

It’s allowing Source, The Universe, our Higher Self and Teams of Divine Helpers to speak to and work through us. It’s about receiving Guidance and co-creating.

For that to happen, it’s important to be a clear channel.

This is as true when

  • I’m inviting a painting to be created through me as it is
  • when I’m tuning into my intuition to take the next inspired action or
  • receiving one of my long vision sequences for a Divine Storytelling Time intuitive reading client.

The tips I share below on how to become a clear channel will help whether you’re interested in channeling intuitive guidance (my focus), healing energy, or becoming a psychic medium.

Becoming a clear channel is a constant practice of fine tuning through conscious effort. That’s why I like to paint reminders for both of us, including this new painting called “On the Beam”, an idiom that means

“on or along the correct or proper track or way of thinking. A reference to the former practice in which aircraft would home in on a radio beam in order to navigate to their destination.”

Do you recognize the symbolism in the painting? It’s a smaller version of “Time of Ascension“. Usually, artists create a smaller one before the larger one, but I had so much fun with the larger one, I wanted to make a smaller variation in monochromatic tones. It’s not the first time I do things differently – lol.

To be on the beam, to live on track, to be guided by the Light is so important if we want to live our Higher Self version of our life. It makes the difference between living small or living big within your Self and in the service of others. Universal energy and Our Teams of Divine Helpers  are happy to help – we just need to remember to ask for that support and to connect to the resources available to do so.

I’m feeling called right now to become an even cleaner clearer channel. I feel like I’m preparing for something big.

Back in November, I was told that my time in Glastonbury would be a gateway. That’s all I know. I’ll be there for the Sun Lover Goddess Conference (which happened to be at the same time as when I was guided to go) and a solo retreat at the Chalice Well Gardens.

When I was a practicing Catholic, we had the 40 days of Lent to prepare us for the celebration of the resurrection of Christ. Last week, I was asked to take 40 days to consciously prepare for the birth or rebirth of something new in my life.

Co-Creating the “Re-Connecting Collection” of paintings  was part of the original Guided preparation. Now, I’m embracing the mystery and following a call to get more fully on the beam before my trip to the UK.

So this is perfect timing to share some tips on becoming a clear channel. May this also help you tune into your intuition so that you too can allow peace and love to flow through your doing & being.

How to Become a Clear Channel

3 Basic Guidelines:

There are 3 basic guidelines that help you prepare in body, mind & spirit to be a channel.

  1.  Clean Up the Channels:
Let go of anything that either numbs or overexcites you. Depression and anxiety are like static on the line when trying to communicate with your intuition / Team of Divine Helpers. So avoid what affects any of your senses negatively.
  2. Raise Your Vibration:
Your Team of Divine Helpers (angels,  Spirit Guides,  Higher Self, Jesus, etc.) vibrate at a very high level, so whatever you can do to raise your vibration will help bridge the gap of communication. Do, be, and have what lifts you up!
  3. Trust & Pay Attention: One reason a child finds the eggs at an Easter egg hunt is because she believes they’re out there and won’t stop until she finds some. The child’s curiosity, wonder, and sense of play fill her heart and open her eyes. Her focus is sharp!  These are all necessary ingredients to being a clear channel. Pay attention with all your inner and outer senses to the psychic signs . Learn more about these in my free 75-minute tutorial. Your trust will grow from baby steps to leaps of faith, making it easier to embrace the mystery.

10 Tips to Become a Clear Channel:

  1. Set Your Intention & Ask: Whether it’s through prayer, journaling, goal-setting, etc. make it clear to yourself and The Universe that you want to become a clear channel for Love & Light (use the words that fit your belief system).  Ask and you shall receive. Because of free will, however, you need to ask. Then, open to receiving. If what you receive feels loving, it’s your intuition / Team of Divine Helpers. If it’s not, it’s your ego or an unwelcome presence. So make sure to ask for Guidance from sources of Light & Love working at the Highest Vibration. With a prayer like: “Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace”,  the intention and request is there.
  2. Eat Clean: Healthy eating nourishes your body and a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Some Buddhists abstain from onions, garlic & leeks because they excite the senses. I’ve never tasted coffee, so I’m sensitive to anything with caffeine in it. I try to avoid sugar because the effects are immediately clear – it hits my brain like a steam train! Now if I could only cut back on chips! Gluten and processed foods can cause depression, anxiety or fatigue for some people. Get to know how your body reacts to certain foods. What’s healthy for some may not be for you. What’s important is that you eat in a way that elevates your vibration.
  3. Avoid Drugs & Alcohol: I can’t speak from personal experience as I don’t drink and am one of the rare visionary artist who has never tried drugs. But it seems logical to me that if these things affect your competency behind the wheel, they’ll affect your ability to be a clear channel.
  4. Create Space – Meditate:  Meditation is a great way to create space for listening. When you’re constantly running around distracted, you’re likely missing your Team’s many attempts at communicating with you. Life is noisy. You need to be quiet to hear your Self & Team of Divine Helpers. So make space in your schedule as well as your mind. There are many kinds of meditation to help relax the mind, ground in the body, connect through the breath. Find what works for you.  When I’m not listening to one of the visioning mediations that I channel (which help connect you to your intuition for inspired action), then I’m listening to one of Steve Nobel’s transmissions. These bring in the archangels and the crystalline and central sun grids featured in my paintings “On the Beam” (above) and “Time of Ascension”. I also consider some of my painting sessions meditation. You might meditate while doing the dishes. Or do you spend time in quiet contemplation after your prayers? Again, find what works for you.
  5. Breathe: Your breath is your connection to Spirit. Breathe deeply through various yoga practices or get moving outside in the fresh air.  When you get scared, your breath becomes shallow or cut off , disconnecting you from your Self & Guidance. Unfortunately, many of us have learned to breathe up in our chests instead of deep down in our abdomens. So get back to how you breathed when you were a baby – you were super connected to Spirit back  then and can be again!
  6. Get Centered:  Exercise and gentle stretching can help get that oxygen flowing. It also centres & grounds you in your body. I like to do some restorative yoga and dancing on my mini-trampoline before I channel one of my Divine Storytelling Time packages for a client. What does your body crave?
  7. Nature Time:  Yes, being out in nature gets fresh air in your lungs and grounds you. It’s more than that. The Elements and Elementals are there to support your intentions. Next time you’re anxious, try hugging a tree. Just let it suck all the negativity out of you and down into the earth to be recycled into something that will serve the planet. Then let it connect you to the Heavens. Your whole chakra system will benefit from a nice long tree hug or lying down on the ground. Mother Earth nurtures, cleanses, and raises your vibration.  Go where you feel most uplifted. Every time I’m near a creek, river, lake, or ocean, I become an open vessel. Being in beauty (which is abundant in the great outdoors) brings me even higher and closer to the Light and Love that wants to flow through me.  If you haven’t tried an intuitive walkabout yet, it’s one of the fun & easy ways I teach to access your Guidance, especially in nature. And if you can’t get outside, the energy of crystals can be helpful.
  8. Solo Time: Is it easier for an introvert than an extrovert to channel? Maybe. What’s important is to take the time to be quiet and aware of all your senses and the signs. It’s about becoming a good listener.  Watching movies on your own isn’t what I’m talking about… even though that’s my favourite way to disconnect. It’s more about quiet contemplation or conscious channeling exercises like automatic writing, visioning, etc. Daydreaming is good too – imagination is the first of the higher levels of knowledge. Next comes inspiration and intuition.
  9. Record:  Don’t trust your memory! Use a dream journal, intuition notebook, camera, or voice memo app to record your data. I may take notes or photos on an intuitive walkabout but use my voice memo app to record the 1-hour Divine Storytelling Time sessions. When I used these channeled visions/ teachings for my Enter the Mandala: The 12 Universal Laws project, I was often surprised by what I heard but hadn’t remembered. And once, decades ago, I was confused why I was having such difficulty getting into a college program only to discover in my dream journal that I’d misremembered the Guidance I’d written down. When I applied at the suggested neighbouring university instead, I got in without a problem.
  10. Gratitude: Recognize when you’ve received Guidance, act on it, and be grateful for it. Imagine your appreciation opening the door wider each time. As your Team of Divine Helpers experience your gratitude and witness your willingness to take inspired action, it’ll become easier and easier to communicate with them. Your continued practice at creating a welcoming space and clear strong channels will pave the way to a happier & healthier life.

We Are Not Alone

How to become a clear channel. Get on the beam. We’re not alone. We’re all part of the Divine Oneness. So let’s connect to the flow of love & light that’s always available to us – that’s a part of us.

You’ll see. Co-creating is a lot more fun than trying to do everything on your own.

We knew all this as young kids. We just have to remember how to do it. Hopefully, these tips have helped. They’re all meant to help you be the joyous you that can more easily connect to your Truth.

I’d love to hear which of these tips you find most useful. Please share your experiences in the comments below.

Relax, Release & Re-Connect Meditation

This is the last of the guided visioning meditations I recorded live while Artist in Residence in Carbonear last April.

I listened to it twice in the week before writing this post and both experiences were completely different:

  • my intentions
  • the scenery
  • what I released
  • my inner child memories
  • emerging qualities
  • the area of my life I chose to explore
  • the people and members of my team of Divine Helpers that I connected with
  • the inspired actions I’m inspired to follow up with

That’s the beauty of guided visioning meditations. They’re different every time you listen to them, depending on what you need, what you ask for.

Interestingly, some of what happened in this inner story that evolved as I listened didn’t seem to have anything to do with the initial intention.

That’s where further reflection helped me realize how they were indeed connected.

Remember that song, “Dem Bones” with lyrics such as:

Hip bone connected to the back bone
Back bone connected to the shoulder bone
Shoulder bone connected to the neck bone
Neck bone connected to the head bone

Everything in our lives is connected to everything else.

I may have been asking about cashflow, which may not seem related to the person’s inner child I met in the Cavern of Joy, but with further thought, it makes a lot of sense.

So give it a try for yourself. See how your story evolves and what or who comes up for you.

spiral

“I was a little reluctant to try the meditation as I don’t sit still well… my mind and body always keep me busy. I was so surprised to see that I was able to sit still, relax, and disconnect my busy mind and allow myself to follow Dominique’s voice. I highly recommend giving it a try and taking some time for yourself. You will not regret it.”

Are you ready to give yourself this 42 minutes to explore your inner landscape, relax, release, and re-connect to who you truly are?

Enjoy the journey! And journal or reflect upon its various elements after to see how everything is connected. Deeper layers of meaning await beyond the experience itself.

Re-Connecting #9 – Time of Ascension

“Time of Ascension” (24″ x 48″) – OriginalPrints available.

As you contemplate “Time of Ascension”, #9 in the Re-Connecting painting collection, consciously breathe light into your physical, etheric, emotional and mental bodies.

Recharge with every in-breath.

Release any toxic energy that can be released with every out breath.

Invite your whole Team of Divine Helpers and your Higher Self to be here with you now as you soak in the energy from this new painting.

Ask Archangel Metatron to bathe you in the golden light of the Christ Grid, that energy that comes from the Central Sun through our sun.

Then ask Archangel Sandalphon to energize you with silver light from the crystalline grid from the core of our sacred planet.

This light energy from above and below are clearly represented in this piece.

Less evident but still present is the energy available to us from the horizontal plane.

Invite Archangel Raphael in the east, the healer / magician angel of air to bathe you in green light.

Then ask Archangel Micheal, the warrior/ protector angel of fire in the south to bathe you in electric blue light.

Next, invite Archangel Gabriel, messenger angel of water from the west to hold space for you in diamond white light.

And finally ask for support from Archangel Uriel, angel of earth and physical structures to bathe you in ruby red fire.

Don’t rush the contemplative process.

You take the time to recharge your phone. Don’t forget to recharge yourself.

Allow the energy infused into this painting and the support from the Archangels to nourish your transformational journey.

Each individual that does the inner work to raise his or her consciousness, helps in the ascension of the planet.

Our Teams of Divine Helpers and Universal energy are happy to help – we just need to remember to ask for that support and to connect to the resources available to do so.

Meditation / Contemplation to Recharge the Batteries

It’s too easy to get caught up in the details of our dramas or the busy-ness in our every day lives.

If you’re feeling like you’re stuck in the mud or running on a hamster wheel, you know what I mean.

I find contemplating beauty and meditation break me out of those patterns.

They reconnect me to that  Divine Energy that is available to us all.

There are so many kinds of meditation and contemplation.

The guided visioning meditations I gift you with regularly are but one style. These are intended to help you raise your vibration and connect to your intuitive guidance.

When I’m not listening to the ones I channeled, I’m on YouTube listening to the energy transmissions, meditations, and affirmations by Steve Nobel of The Soul Matrix.

I resonate with his work, which definitely influenced the visuals in this painting.

As part of the retrospective on my life, “Time of Ascension” honours all of the conscious work I’ve done to live a life that’s aligned with my core values and emerge more fully into my Higher Self. I’m still a work in progress.

Watch It Evolve

While I was varnishing “Nature Bound“, I received a vision of what I needed to do for the base layer of the next painting in this collection.  No breaks! The painting marathon continued.

I spent a whole day creating layers of multicoloured stripes. It had the same meditative effect as dot-making, but in a new way. After layers of warm and cool stripes, I dove in with 2 shades of gold.

Then came hours of mathematical and geometrical calculations before painting the light rays.

Several more hours were spent drawing and cutting the stencil for desired effect on the crystals.

In Detail

Looking at the crystals close-up, the facets are white from some angles yet various iridescent colours from other angles.

The Lapis Lazuli stone at the top in its deep celestial blue has been a symbol of  honor, gods, power, spirit and vision throughout the ages. It is still a universal symbol of wisdom and truth. Here it’s embedded in mica chips, with the added energy of love & compassion.
