Coincidence? No. Intuitive timing.
Intuitive living makes it a whole lot easier to accept and love what is. There are no coincidences.
May this story about an intuitive encounter help you the next time things don’t go quite as planned.
The Plan
We’d had an unusually warm couple of days. My friend Leslie and I decided to use her new bike rack to explore a different part of the Trailway.
The plan was to arrive at the Manuel’s River Interpretation Centre at about 10am and then ride from there.
My Sister Louise
When we made this plan, I emailed my sister Louise to tell her I’d take her with me in my heart.
I’d been sending Reiki (energy healing) to her on the mainland, where she was recovering from an injury.
This was my way of bringing a bit of fresh air and nature to her bedside.
Intuitive Timing
Leslie arrived at my place about half an hour late. No worries. It gave me time to finish a project.
But then we were so busy gabbing that we missed the turnoff. This didn’t phase us. We both took the opportunity to affirm that things happen for a reason and didn’t resist the flow.
Who knows if leaving late or taking a different road spared us from an accident?!
We took a roundabout way and arrived an hour later than expected.
Intuitive Encounter
While Leslie was inside the Centre, a car pulled up beside ours, also with a loaded bike rack.
A lady got out, and we both exclaimed how perfect a day it was for a bike ride.
She told me that she’d spent all morning trying to find someone to go cycling on Bell Island with her. When she couldn’t, she came here.
“That’s on my wish list”, I said. And I reached in my saddle bag for a business card. “Call me if you’d like to go some day. My name is Dominique.”
Then it happened.
“I’m Louise.”
Perfect Timing
She then asked if we’d ridden this trail before. We hadn’t. So she offered to show us the way past a couple of intersections and onto the main trail.
We ended up spending more than 4 hours with Louise, including a seaside picnic and meditation break (during which Leslie and I took turns leading). What an amazing day!
Of course, I told her about my sister Louise and my intention to take her along for the ride.
I called her as soon as I got home to tell her what happened.
This may be the new normal, but it still thrills me.
Intuitive timing is perfect timing. Some call it synchronicity. But don’t call it coincidence. It isn’t.
Embracing the Mystery
This won’t be the last time we see our new friend Louise.
She’s enjoying her retirement and now teaches yoga and leads organized hikes. We speak the same language.
The Universe orchestrated this meeting of souls and who knows what collaborations and blessings will come of it.
So don’t get upset next time you’re stuck in traffic or your plans don’t go quite as expected. Keep your ears, eyes, and heart open to find out why.
